Oh... see... I only went to Haydays so that I could spot the elusive Indy500 and he went incognito on me. I spent hours searching the grounds for that marvel of a wagon only to be denied to privilege of meeting a sledder so dedicated to the sport that he would build a custom shed to house his beast.

On a side note, I left White Bear Lake at 5:45 and was parked at 8am near the southside gate#2. My only regret was not leaving at 5am because we had to wait 1 1/2 hours to go the last 3 miles to get into the site.

Next year I know the secret backroads to avoid the traffic jam though.

I was looking forward to meeting a couple JDer's too. Was hovering around the meeting spot, over by the back country riding area. A gal was giving a talk when the wind just about blew the canopy down. Seemed like nobody wanted to help so and older gentleman & I dug in to see what could be down.

If you saw a guy with a White AC Powder Extreme Hat on, putting stakes in the ground & shouting for more tools, that was me. By the time I was done, it was 4:50. Looked around, asked a number folks, but no JDer's.

Next time, here or some other place, we need to wave JohnDee.com cardboard sign.

Given the issue with getting into Hay Days I wasn't sure if anyone was still going to try and meet. I was at the MSPN booth (FC3) from 4:25 till 5:00 PM! I was in a gray Freedom Trailblazer short sleeve T-shirt blue jeans and a gray Ulmer Racing cap. I was disapointed nobody showed up. However, the NICE ladies from Sled Divas came over and I did get to have my picture taken with them! :) The MSPN Publisher took some pics so hopefully he will send them to me to post. Maybe next year we can meet or at the Milwaukee Snow Show in Oct?

You are correct about the 20,000! I talked to a "person of authority" for Chisago County, MN and he told me the same number. If Hay Days had about 40,000 the first day last year don't you think they would plan on having about the same this year or maybe more with the new location???

Well they don't have to worry about 40,000 showing up next year if they even get a permit.
My guess, the snowbarons wont be in charge if there is a Haydays next years.

Once again another fine event ruined by GREED! Why would you tell farmers that they would be heavily fined if they charged for parking...SNO-BARRONS That's why they wanted all that $ for themselvs. No swapping outside the grounds...GREED I knew this would be a mess It's chisago county for pete's sake! We sat on cty rd 14 for 2 hours while watching a "sheriff" with his hands in his pocket holding up a fence post! Nice!!! The princeton swaps will get my hard earned $$$ from now on. Thank you SNO-BARRONS!!!

We were with in 10 miles at around 9 am, sat for about 1 hour and a buddy got mad and got out and started walking to the event. He walked around 8 miles and we stayed in the vehicle until we had to park on the side of the road because the deputy wouldn't let us go any farther. We ended up walking around 4 miles and yet he beat us in the gate by 2 hours.
Once inside we had a good time, wasn't looking for much. I bought my 3 boys Team Kessler shirts and their video and my wife a Pink Ribbon Riders sweatshirt. Man nothing for me oh well next year I guess, unless they don't get the parking thing in order.
