Friend of family was riding his new Doo 2 years ago on the Fox river, just south of Big Bend, WI, where it forks by HWY164. People were following a short trail along a fishing boat access, but bordering a corn field, and he was following tracks as the the lead sled. Didn't see the chain link fence farmer had put up to keep people from entering from road and going into his field, as opposed to the boat access just adjacent. He was found by his riding partners having been severely cut at the neck level, and bled out on the scene. Son knows the brothers, and we know the family. He was a wild kid - tragic. Just got the sled too - late March.
that reminds me....snow cookies and trees....snow cookies can be deadly...not many around here but all over the place out west....although I did hit one in portage and one in bigbay....both threw me off sled....one broke my brake lever and my arm was out for 6 months or so....snow cookies on a mountain pass can kill you and toss you off the switchback...trees...you guys seen that one LMAO
and XXX I was riding the fox river at night heading from petite bay Il to Kenosha....same thing....on the left was a huge field that you could jump into from down on the river by jamming up the bank on a sweeping turn to the right....there were chains across the access landing roads....me and another guy were racing so I was concentrating on the open water holes and the trees sticking out of ice at 45 degree to impale you.....he ended up rolling his sled on the edge of open water while I was passing him on the outside....I love those fields and the river....very dangerous but its why we do this eh....for the fun of being on the edge....this is the film from that night the fields are on either side...I was holding the camera with one hand and no brakes fimin' babay....the orange F7 rolled it....that's the AUTO DOC....LOL....this is when youtube had shatty limits...whenever you see him skid or I pan to blackness that's open water....at 1 min we split open water I left he right
