Thursday Storm Could Be A Game Changer.

A quick 2-3” overnight. Raining fairly decent at the moment. Sure seems like this was a missed opportunity for most of the north. I agree that most big moisture events seem to have too much warm air and as soon as the moisture leaves in comes the cold air. I’m hoping someone within two hours of me picks up decent snow so I can take a day trip or two next week.

3” so far and been dry slotted since about 9am which isn’t a bad thing since no rain yet. Just have to wait this storm out as backside could dump another 3” followed by cold. Wind is ripping!

About the same in St Germain, 3” and limited rain. Some sleet as welll.

Great packing snow, if we can get 3” more tonight trails should be good with cold weather.

I could be wrong, but these events probly don't take place or are nearly as large and potent without the warm moisture laden air.

Definitely a good thing! In Hayward I bet we lost most snow we got last night, been raining on/off all day. Temps gotta drop! Stilll hoping for tonight and tomorrow to add snow but definitely a major disappointment......but better than being in Illinois !

If we pick up 2” tonight I think we can ride around HAYWARD. Especially if stay on the lakes and small connector trails. I’m sure the Chippewa flowage will be great riding tomorrow with the cooler temps.

Just depends on what your expectations are and what your willing to ride.

Actually, I think the path now is perfect. Can’t waste good snow down south where it won’t last!

Unfortunately I wouldn't call that the perfect track. Congrats to the people in Minnesota should be some good riding your way.

Just put in 230 miles last night and today in Gogebic area. Some water spots on 102 towards Lake in Clouds, mostly great rising actually. Silver City is snirt at best. 1 back down crappy until South of Konteka. Lake is 5-6’ ice, fully rideable. 2 out to Bessemer was decent but that’s when the rain hit and stuck the whole afternoon. Just now turning to snow, sort of. 2 down to Rogers was decent. Given the rain on top of the 3’ we got last night I’m not complaining. We’re having fun and never met a depressed person ripping a bile! Sure, could be colder and could be sitting on more snow but it is what it is. Will head up to Houghton area tomorrow and see what that’s like. Happier to be here then at work.

Picked up 6 - 8" of quality snow a couple of counties east of Grub's turf. Pretty much right on the forecast snow range . Was out fishing on Lake of the Woods today and by about 4:00 the wind was rockin'. Between the wind and the sub-zero temps tonight the fluff on the lake will probably be as hard as concrete by morning. Fish seem to like the conditions though.
