Top gear everyone should have

Alright JD family let the argument begin. Let's hear what everyone thinks is the best gear on the marke that every sledder should have. From socks to helmets track or studs and all in between. Me personally I still love the Scott 89xi turbo flow goggles and klim f4 helmet. This year however I've ordered a new jacket from tobe technology so we will see how that is.

I like my f4 but would not say the best. in fact total pos as far as bling plastics are concerned I think after yr 1.5 I had none left. still have it and it is a good warm weather lid . but went with a carbon 509 this yr .
still no top tier manufacture makes a sled lid ,think my buds schuberth was real close to 1g and from what I understand that is cheep for a pro driver helmet

True adventure gear gloves and fly carbon f2 best bang for the buck. Klim adrenaline boots are also a must have.

FXR Blade Superlite helmet with Scott Hustle goggles is a killer combo and great bang for the buck. Love my HMK Voyager Boa's and TAG gloves have great feel and keep my hands dry. Stud Boys Shaper Bars under the skis are a must for me too!

only klim gear i have is the arctic balaclava. i use it under my 509 sinister goggles and 509 helmet which fit together well.
agree on shaper bars also.
I now carry a 12" foldable saw too.
I keep a couple sets of Katadin "hippo hands" in the trailer too for sub zero days.

oh yea.....we also get the iron dog large windys for our sleds.....nope ....I ain't gonna call them gramps windshields!

riding a sled with the thong windshield is equivilent to saying , "hold my beer and watch this"....real impressive, sport!

I just bought a pair of the Ski Doo Tec+ boots. I've had good luck with all BRP products over the years and my bibs and jacket are from Klim.

K mart clearance rack.

X2 for me but I need the a good chest protector which is probably not at K-Mart, after cracked ribs I bought a teck vest ( why do we have to crack our ribs first?) but really I like my motorcross vest better so another $250 down the drain, anybody want a 2X teck vest for $125? hardly used, really.

Pretty much any heated shield that works!

Riding when there is freezing fog or freezing rain can totally ruin a ride and worse yet, get you stranded in a city/town away from your truck/trailer. Has happened to me in Wakefield and Baraga when I was over 100 miles from truck.

Unfortunately in my experience heated shields don't cut freezing PITA rain/fog. For us it lifted in Baraga/Lanse but IR to outside Lanse was flying blind. We find tall windshields are the answer ice builds up on windshield... not visors.

I've had a lot of gear. I really like Slednecks gear quality with coats/bibs. Had a lot of boots too. Trukke are my fave but I think they are out of business. Can't find a glove I like but Motorfist are my LEAST favorite.
