-4 Temp ...LES squalls in Phelps & wind ripping can't see much at times with whiteout conditions. This snow is so light just becomes white fog in the wind.

Sounds like the worst conditions very well may be in the East-Central U.P. - M28 between Harvey and Munising is closed, US41 between Trenary and Rapid River is closed, and US 2 between Rapid River and Manistique are all closed at the moment. The Western U.P. and Eastern U.P. are all but "disconnected" at the moment.

This is the first time in 17yrs of plowing that I pulled the truck off the road to wait for better visibility. I couldn't see past the blade on the front of the truck for 5 miles.
Then I get home to read help messages of stranded vehicles just a few miles from home. Head back out... then I get stuck.

Next best thing was to get the sled out and strap a shovel on it. I found five cars all within 100yrs of each other. Not much snow on the road, but with zero visibility they were just driving off the road into the field.

Any more info on the Renegade Sport? Looking for your thoughts on this sled ezra.
well the wife rode it most of the time. I took it out for prob close to 80mi prob 30 of those were single tracking through the woods.
I liked it plenty of power for a trail sled my 3 buds with had a 12 800 x package short track a 14 gade 800 and a 15 poo 800 with a combine hanging off the back .
non of them lost me until 80+ at lake crossings . on the trail I hit bottom a few times but do have it set up for the wife kinda plush . trails were actually very good so no reports on how fast the shocks will crap out on miles of rollers. all in all I am glad I bought it .
single tracking it was fun granted they have just over a foot in the woods but that did not stop the poo with the hay baler from getting stuck lol to be fair I think it was his first time ever off a groom. just like all doo even in the drifted deeper stuff in the tall brushy stuff that holds snow it was real hard to lay over but what do u expect it is a trail sled .
gas mi is way better than my m8000 on the same ride or poss the wife is a bit more even on the throttle lol.
oil use not bad heck I am still on first free tank from dealer.
if looking for a cheep new sled with a bit longer track I say why not. I would buy a extra if I needed one.
I will prob toss some shocks in it only because I have a set of fox in the garage with same cTc and a bud has a set off a sc5 skid I can get cheep. but I am in no hurry I may or may not get to it by next winter .
only upgrade I di to sled was take stock wind screen off that was decent for a new sled . I got a extra tall for it. prob would not have done it if I did not get those kind of parts cheep . after I sold my stock one the extra tall aftermarket cost me less than 10 bucks

I thought your wife had a insulated purse

That there is funny.

Its weird how that light fluffy snow can just hang there in front of your lights and windshield to make it impossible to see. The other night i was going 12mph and had to stop the machine to get visual back.

my wife's only real report was she liked it except it is not cute . but her shoulders are not hurting/ tensed up after riding.
she wants stickers for it and some calk in side the seat trunk so snow is not collecting in there.

That was one heck of a storm. We drove saturday morning to the Jack Pine Relic Ride.
I drove Doe Lake Rd to Buckhorn to 13 to the white fawn. I was in the f250 with a plow on it. Drifts we over the plow in some places on doe lake rd. 13 was plowed. Not so bad. Then we took the 440 over to stuben. That was interesting pulling the enclosed trailer.
Cops were at the relic ride on megaphones telling people a civil emergency was declared.
Then we rode 80 miles on relics in that storm. I feel I get to experience the old school riding in the UP. No hand warmers, no suspension.
Below 0 and 40 mph winds.... We made it!!
Drive back to white fawn we actually took kentucky trail. There were a few spots we really questioned our decision to take it in the truck and trailer.
It had not been plowed this storm at all.
Then I plowed non stop. Finished Sunday afternoon.
