Wife's Sled

Anyone else ever look at sled ads and notice TONS of them are the "wife's sled" which of course was written to imply that it has just been babied??? I really like when they are 700+ cc machines too. I read them and wonder how many are really the wife's sled and they are that only because the husband hands down his sled (which he has put most or all of the miles on), gets a new one, gets rid of the "wife's" and just continues in that cycle. I guess one of my sleds is my wife's too but she probably only has put on 5% or less of the miles since we have had it. I am sure there are some that really are and always were the wife's but i'd bet especially with the 700+ cc ones that is really rare. What do you all think?

I think my wife rides them harder then I do. Oh honey, I hit something in the trail. Slow starts - hard on the belt. Hard Stops - hard on everything. Gets up to speed and then lets off the throtle only to throtle again to get up to speed. LOL

I wouldn't worry about it being the "wife's" sleds for sale, I mean, I'am sure their all "UP" miles. :rolleyes:

wifes sled

thats the way it is in our house .she gets my old sled .i ride twice the miles she does .it works for me .that is true that most of the damage has come from her .i hope she not reading this .next new one could be hers .

This thread made me chuckle. I have an F7 (bought and paid for brand new by myslef BTW) and do rider harder than my husband. I don't beat the living sh!t out of it but I'd be the first to launch off a snowpile (on purpose of course :D ).

I have an 2002 Viper 700 with 6800 miles on it. I put them all on except maybe 150, and the only damage done to my sled was when I let a guy drive it!!! I ride hard but I also make sure I take good care of my sled (ok well Catmandoo takes care of my sled)!!

Wife Sled For Sale

Selling my wife's XC 120, very low miles and never raced or wrecked. Only driven on Saturdays and Sundays on super smooth trails.

my wifes 04z570 has 1400mi and less than 200 are from me would rather ride my lazy boy than her sled

he may just like to feel pretty oh so pretty.that is kinda what my wife wants but a f6 with the hot pink package.I just cant do it for her 200mi a yr .I keep trying to tell my self maby she would ride more with a new F but then I snap in to reality and keep the 570.sad part is I was offerd 3g from 2diff buds this yr for it and I turned it down when I only payed 3650 new like 6yrs ago.but why sell it to spend more money when I know the sled has only seen 80Mi per hr 2 times in its life and the rest was at 25 to 40.with perfect maintanance history.but that is why guys are willing to pay for it I guess
