Still holding on to my 2003 viper mountain and a 2000 srx 700 for when I feel the need for speed on the trails.

Rode all the new 4 stoke sleds. Sure they are more reliable. Just not the same deal.
Have owned Yamahas all my life now will look to AC or POL and will be 2 stroke.

Heading to Peacock Ltd. to see what they are still setting on. Maybe a deal is in store. Thanks everyone for remaining civil on this topic.
want it I would never buy 1. thought about it but why would U want to spend over ten g on a nose heavy relatively low HP trail sled when for just what 1200 bucks more u can get a turbo that is proven to be reliable up to 320hp. toss any place close to that **** any place over 200 on that yammaha and u will blow the bottom end.
I just have 0 interest in a straight sweeping groomed trail sled at this point in my life. I would honestly rather stay home than go freeze my *** off on some old rail grade for a weekend now.
I have ridden them they are nice sleds but u deff know there is a heavy motor under u. the turbo with under a g in parts is at least exciting to drive

Sleds are just like boats - you need three different ones to cover every situation. If you are going to have just one sled there are going to be trade-offs no matter what color you buy.

Purchased a 2014 Viper XTX 141 last year from Meyer Yamaha in Ishpeming, MI I currently have 3000 miles on sled with no issues, other than 1 recall this fall, simple upgrade to the electronic reverse, simple 30 min fix at the dealer. Rode a Apex xtx prior to the Viper, most important thing to remember is to have a great dealer with the knowledge to set the sled up to your riding style and rider weight. If anyone is having a problem with how your Viper handles or a mechanical problem, I suggest you call Greg at Meyer Yamaha, this guy is one of the best at listening to the customer and solving any issue you may have, I live in NE Indiana and its a 620 mile drive to this dealer, well worth the drive, we pass several dealers along the way when making the trip to Meyer's. As stated in the posts prior, there is not one perfect sled for all kinds of riding, some are so brand loyal that they never now what they are missing with other brands, BOTTON LINE, you need a GREAT DEALER to back whatever brand you are riding. IMO!!

What about an Indy 600 SP at $7,200 + a tracksusa extension for about $800? That's what I was kind of thinking, but a year from now. Or that Sport Renegade.
