looking at ski doos, need advise

I still don't like the Ptek's, and wouldn't recommend a sled with that motor to a "new to ski doo guy"

    Avoid Trail 11 south

Gogebic Range authority reported a tucker breaking through in a wet area near Cheney Lake...(south of Wakefield and west of Marinesco, off the 2 trail)....they had to use an excavator to get it out...its a mess

    Storm Central: Friday 1-12-24

None in the Tomahawk/Nokomis area are marked yet....no word on when...it is cold and we are building ice...so hopefully soon...the clubs are packing swamps as we speak....we are very thin on snow though, and the weather out look is not great the next 10 days

    Storm Central: Friday 1-12-24

In the last 20 years the latest Oneida County has ever opened was January 25th (in 2019 ?)..we will probably beat that record this year...trails opened late in 2015 -2016, and closed early....that 2015-2016 season was easily our worst year of riding (the shortest season on record)...coincidently...

    Storm Central: Friday 1-12-24

Looks like East Central, South Central, and South Western Wisconsin...(or now the YOOP)...are where to go....storm was a flop for the Northwoods of Wisconsin..trails aren't open here, and probably won't anytime soon. Not looking good at this point

    Update 1-15-24 (Oneida/Lincoln County)

Unfortunately...nothing good to report...the storms from last week missed us....between the 3 systems last week we received 4 to 5 total inches..(more to the south and east, less to the north and west).....NOT ENOUGH TO OPEN TRAILS....very, very thin out there.. Just enough snow that the clubs...

Snowing and blowing near nokomis...its coming down at a good clip, but it's really fine...and not accumulating very much...about an inch since 9 am...supposed to pick up in intensity this evening...sure hope so ...otherwise we'll be lucky to get two inches

    Storm Central for Tuesday

At 3 PM...they just upgraded Oneida, Vilas, and Lincoln County to a Winter Storm Warning....now calling for 5 to 8 inches of snow....from Friday 9am to Saturday at NOON....(heaviest snow should fall Friday afternoon and evening)......JUST an FYI....no trails are open, and I highly doubt they...

    Storm Central for Tuesday

I love it when there is snow down south...just wish we had some too...really cuts down on the traffic, and the trails are much better when things are spread out.

    1/2/24

Only a little over 2 inches in Tomahawk from the mid week storm .....might see an inch tonight and 2 to 3 Friday into Saturday...at least cold weather is on the way to hopefully get our ice ready..(it's almost there)....we continue to sit in a holding pattern

    Storm Central for Tuesday

Still looks like that storm was kind of a bust....seeing 3 to 6 inch totals across the fox valley(NWS Green Bay), and 3-8 south central and south east Wisconsin (NWS Milwaukee)...the big winner looks like Southwest Wisconsin seeing 10-13 inches there.....looks like Iowa got pounded too.

    Storm Central for Tuesday

2 inches or so...that's about it for Tomahawk...started snowing again around 3:30...but abruptly stopped at 4:30...radar looks like it's completely done here....pushed off to the east....we knew we weren't gonna get hit with this one in the Northwoods, but still kinda hoped they were...

    Storm Central for Tuesday

What's going on in the FOX valley/Milwaukee area?....I haven't seen a snow fall total over 2.5 inches yet....(the nws snow fall map isn't working for me out of green bay or Sullivan)...storm looks like a massive bust so far...but I can't tell...heavy bands of precip near Milwaukee and Madison...

    Trail openings

Just an FYI....clubs do not open trails in Wisconsin....the counties do ...meaning all the club trails in a specific county must be inspected, and ok'd to open...if one club in county isn't ready, then they will not open....most of the clubs in northern Wisconsin have already been inspected, and...

    Hope?

Here is the update from NWS Green Bay on that system for Tuesday/Wednesday: "Trends continues to push this system a little farther east, which puts northeast Wisconsin on the far western fridge. Less confident in getting significant snow out of this system, especially across central and...
