    An Antique Farmall

We had a big buzz saw on the back of my dads also. You could cut a lot of wood in a hurry but OSHA would not approve!

    An Antique Farmall

I've got a 1952 Ford 8N. Not looking quite as nice as this one but still looking good. I've had it for close to 25 years now and I have a brush hog and a back blade for it. I really don't use it much, probably less than 10 hrs/year, but it still works fine. Hydraulics drift a bit on it...

    New John Deere x590

Wow, I'm GREEN with envy! I have a 1998 LX188 that I use to mow and blow snow. It has the 18 HP Kawasaki and still runs like new, just doesn't look like new anymore.

First camp trip of the year this weekend!

Larsmont is a great spot. Good food and very nice cottages to rent. We do a strategic planning session up there yearly for work. The north shore is awesome, we love it up there but you are pretty isolated in spots. It is still one of the considerations for where we end up.

First camp trip of the year this weekend!

The first move will just be to the cabin full time. Still working for another 611 days but who's counting? So I'll just commute to work while my wife works fully remote. Hopefully by then we'll have decided on a long term location. The move to the cabin is aimed to accomplish a couple of goals...

Well I will be riding Christmas to New Years

Have you been out on it yet?? What type of range are you getting? Reviews I'm seeing is that its significantly less range than something like the Trek Rail with the bigger battery/motor and quite a bit less "oomph" than it also. I usually don't ride more than 15 miles at a crack on my current...

First camp trip of the year this weekend!

Our first one isn't until Fathers day weekend but after that we have one for Kakabekka Falls in Thunder Bay and Hay Days of course. Going to be a busy summer with selling the house and getting moved so hopefully we'll get some more planned.

    Building / Shop advice

I'm being quoted about 10K for 34X26 slab. 5" thick with 12" thickened edges. But thats north shore of MN and everything is expensive up there.

    Building / Shop advice

How much was the concrete for that size? Looking to do a garage/pole building at my cabin and trying to understand costs.

11 yrs ago today with XCR440

We were joking about your leather suit recently. I think that thing weighed 30 lbs when we got to the Trestle. We burned a lot of gas that day but its one of the best days I've ever had up there. Funny is that's the only time we've ever rode together. This winter we'll have to correct that. I'll...

11 yrs ago today with XCR440

Kevin, remember this ride? I burned so much gas this day, breaking trail for 90 miles in about 2' of fresh. Up by our cabin we got close to 70" of snow in April that year, 2013.

    OJ's death

With the passing of OJ Simpson they just announced that at the time of Nicole's murder John Elway was a prime suspect. They were looking for a slow white Bronco!

    Best tunnel bag?

They work great. I've had the Apache bags on sleds for 8 yrs now and have never had an issue or damp item in them. It would be nice to be able to remove it and maybe I'll take a look at adapting a Linq system to it this summer.

    Best tunnel bag?

If anybody ever watches Muskoka Freerider on You tube he uses the Linq system with a Milwaukee Packout box. He hauls a lot of stuff with him.

    Best tunnel bag?

Never thought about it, that might work.

    Tough Sledding at Ski Doo

I think I was on it once up by Tower?? I don't travel far from home to ride. If I ride around home, Cloquet, I will get on the Munger once in awhile but just for short sections. Otherwise I'm 99% in the Finland, MN area.

    Tough Sledding at Ski Doo

So we ride primarily the North Shore and its all twisty trails so my normal speed might be 35-40. Forest roads we'll run at 50-70. Lots of boondocking at 10-20. We don't have RR grades up there where you can run 80+ (plus we have a 50 MPH speed limit in MN) but there are times we get on lakes...

    Best tunnel bag?

I don't have any great pictures of it but I just bought a hard sided plastic Apache case from Harbor Freight and used the slots in the Polaris tunnel to mount it. Waterproof, solid, lockable. Can't take it off at night like the Linq bags but at $40 its tough to beat.

    Tough Sledding at Ski Doo

I agree with what you are saying and how you ride. I have zero need for the speed of my 850 and have actually geared it down and I'm sure it's never even seen 85 mph. When I say fun factor I just reference grabbing the throttle and pulling the ski's, the acceleration, the ability to pop up out...
