If you are heading north to ride......

Alot of people are calling and asking about the conditions in the YOOP (mostly our southern friends)...they have no clue what they are heading into...I tell them to bring a saw, and they ask "WHY"? ...they have no clue, or they think I'm lying I guess......I mean it's all over Facebook, pictures...

If you are heading north to ride......

4 To 6 inches...my mom had 9 out near Lac du flambeau (she always gets more over there)...we are expecting some smaller systems over the next 5 days an inch or so here and there, but it does add up (an inch possible Friday night, 1-3 both Monday night, and Tuesday night)

If you are heading north to ride......

Correct...but portions of Northern Vilas and Iron may also be open soon (after trails are cleared and inspected)

If you are heading north to ride......

Temper your excitement....it's BAD...lots and lots of tree damage, many trails not open, and wet areas in the usual spots. Spread the word if you can...a lot of people don't realize the extent of the damage in the western U.P., and northern Wisconsin...and some folks see SNOW, and just hook up...

100 percent...making bigger, faster more expensive machines, and forgetting about the low cost, family machines...now all of them reintroduced low end models in the last 5 years.....but they arent selling well...and imo it's too late...we skipped an entire generation of potential riders...lost...

All of us old guys grew up doing this as a family sport....and we had the "family" feeling out riding with friends and club members...that has disappeared....it's become a rich person, spoiled kid sport (there are 16 year old kids riding newer, nicer sleds than I have)...unfortunately...

Yes....calling the clubs "LAZY" pissed me off......it's not the work that's getting to me...it's the people...snowmobilers are not what they used to be....I have seen more entitled snobs, and arrogant jerks this year than ever before...it's sickening...believe me...I've asked myself...

There is nothing strange about it....we had Wednesday night , and Thursday to brush 275 miles of trails...some trails looked like a tornado went through, so many downed trees that it was impassible....hours and hours of work, an impossible task to get done in a day and a half (they gave us...

Unfortunately getting " definitive answers" is difficult to do....too many trees down, and lots of slush, and puddles on the lakes...its a mess..one area is fine another looks like a bomb went off...by the time we'd get everything cleared it might be too late. While getting a wet heavy...
