What piece of a work. But will the insurance cover it being the key was in it? Pretty sad where this world is going

Yup, you're right boaski I was asking for it. Shame on me for thinking I could live our way of life up here in Greenland that we've always lived.

Hate to say it but you were asking for it.

It's too bad that a hand shake, honesty and a persons word is fading fast. I've always preferred doing business on a persons word, not their signature.
Maybe I'm asking for it too, but I'll continue to trust man until I'm forced not to!

Perhaps you will change your mind now too?

Sorry to hear Kip, but the key was in the machine, whwhafnafnninffgfw The guy knew it and it was an easy steal. years ago we had an crated atv that was stolen and they used a roll back to do it. never can be to safe, after that nothing sits outside,Then we had a jetski on a trailer stolen but then was recovered down in south carolina, heck we even had our old automotive batteries stolen, NOW NOTHING sits outside that isn't locked up now

Hey Kip,
first of all I would like to say that I’m very sorry to hear of this person taking advantage of you this way, I just want to let it be known that you are one of the nicest guys that I’ve ever met in the UP and throughout the years our friendship has blossomed into something that I cherish, please don’t take the negative comments people say on here too seriously because most of us know how well of a fine upstanding businessman that you are, you are kind, honest and always fun to talk to

Thank you snomoman and I think people are taking it a bit the wrong way. I appreciate all the support as always. Sometimes the truth hurts and Boaski unfortunately is right. I've gotten too set in my ways and it bit me. Is what it is. Lets just find this sum biatch! I just wish some things didn't change:)
Nope. Although we have had a couple problems over the years, junk batteries stolen, couple tires stolen, for the most part my customer base is about the last group of honest down to earth people left. I think anyway.

Anyone that has worked in a dealership with multiple vehicles/units knows the struggles of keeping track of the keys for each unit. To suggest that someone was "asking for it" is just plain asinine!

Thank you Harski and Matt I feel the same way you do. Believe it or not I've had many great customers break down, take a sled at night, and call me 1st thing the next morning to let me know. We've always bee very proud of that and it saved our customers many times. I'll at least take the keys out but it just really sucks when you're trying to offer the service. I even had a lady send me a card from Alabama that stated and I quote, "I was at your dealership this past Sunday and I couldn't believe that all the keys were in your new and used side by side and atvs." It's refreshing to see places like your's still exist in this country. It was refreshing to see and I can tell you take pride in your business. She took the time to write and mail that card to me. That's a very special person. She wasn't even a customer, but these are the type of customers we have. I won't let one jerk get us down but I will be pulling the keys unfortunately, not that it will help if they want to steal but at least it will take care of the lazy cowards.

well this sucks for sure, and sorry your encountering a loss like this

I really think there is a major problem with laws anymore
so few that get caught doing crimes anymore, get even a fraction of the official time and punishment that they should
which in turn IMO< is making criminals get away with far too much and they know it!

they have lost the fear of real punishment

and also blame a lot of parents for NOT raising there kids right, to have respect for others property

I have said it before and will say it again
I MISS the days when parents used REAL discipline to teach there kids lessons they will just never learn ANY other way!

I also miss the days when some back wood justice took place to help resolve and keep away like crimes!

call me what ever
but I do think some of that stuff solved and prevented a lot of folks from going down the wrong roads, or FURTHER down them!

law makers and officials need to stand there ground on punishments, its its a 5 yrs sentence they should be serving ALL 5 yrs and so on, not out ina few weeks or nothing at all in some BS plea bargaining they do WAY too often

Agree wholeheartedly.

The days of leaving the keys in the vehicle and house doors unlocked are over. Even in Northern Wisconsin or the UP. It might be hard to hear but its the truth. Its why I hate people who steal property more then anyone......

Unless your area is gated all the way around which I don't believe it is.
