All of a sudden the machine died. I tried to fire it back up and it didn't start. I checked for spark and there was none. Where should I start on this deal?

Someone mentioned a micro switch near the throttle? Does anyone have a pic?

It's a jinx bro!

Mine is in the shop as we speak! Hoping it's just the fuel filter. It runs, but it's hungry when you hit the throttle!

When mine did that two years ago, it was a bad ground wire that fried the CPU. New CPU and Voltage Regulator, and it was good to go.

Don't know about a switch by the throttle but there is one on the brake lever that controls the brake light.

Good luck!

Well the good part about it was that she was only 1/4 mile from the cabin when it happened. I had to take that tow strap out of the package finally. I was hoping that it would forever remain there lol!

There are so many things it could be...this sucks! Good luck with yours!

Stator. Should have left the tow strap at home!

Good luck. Keep me posted and I'll talk to ya soon!

Hole in the Clutch side piston. They want $2,000 to fix. Not sure what I'm going to do.

That seems a little high to replace a piston! Does it need a new jug as well?

I actually had to have the recoil side piston replaced on this one too. The guy that did my maintenance used lock washers instead of locktite on the exhaust valve bolts. The valve hit the ring and destroyed the piston, jug, ring, and valve. That was a $1200 fix for all of those parts. That was including labor also.

It's a dealer. Needs jug too. Don't think I'll be getting it fixed there. They are talking about a total top end rebuild. Maybe I'll take it to your guy.

Bergeron Marine in Rapid River. On the corner of Rte. 2 and 41 (I believe). The oldest Polaris dealer in the Midwest. I wouldn't have anyone else work on my sled. They should be on your way home from Sidnaw depending on which way you go.

I wonder why they want the entire top end rebuilt? I had just the parts I mentioned replaced and that 07 runs just like it did. Just no spark!

I had to have a Polaris dealer do a complete rebuild a few years back and it was about $2200. $2000 for a top end seems way high.

Well I got the sled home. Found out that the ignition coil plug came unplugged under the airbox. Plugged it in and it runs again!!! So happy that it's a simple fix!

How would the valve hit the ring because of that? Seems like the vlave would move backwards away from the piston if it loosened up, not towards it.

When you're at low speeds the valve closes. That's how it happened in my understanding.

I think after 8000 miles its time! I don't see myself going back until the end of April. Snow will probably be gone :)

yup he did, dont believe he got the big boy bearings though thats only on big blocks. and yes it was under $2k, and it has a completly new top end also. Labor was $500, done by the best engine builder in the country with less than 2 day turn around time.
