2007 IQ 600 carb no spark??

It's a jinx bro!
Mine is in the shop as we speak! Hoping it's just the fuel filter. It runs, but it's hungry when you hit the throttle!
When mine did that two years ago, it was a bad ground wire that fried the CPU. New CPU and Voltage Regulator, and it was good to go.
Don't know about a switch by the throttle but there is one on the brake lever that controls the brake light.

Same type of thing happen to me it was the stator.

What did that run?
The way I see it is that it's probably 5 different things.
1. The throttle switch
2. Stator
3. Primary coil
4. CDI box
5. Secondary coil
Hole in the Clutch side piston. They want $2,000 to fix. Not sure what I'm going to do.
That seems a little high to replace a piston! Does it need a new jug as well?
I actually had to have the recoil side piston replaced on this one too. The guy that did my maintenance used lock washers instead of locktite on the exhaust valve bolts. The valve hit the ring and destroyed the piston, jug, ring, and valve. That was a $1200 fix for all of those parts. That was including labor also.

I wonder why they want the entire top end rebuilt? I had just the parts I mentioned replaced and that 07 runs just like it did. Just no spark!

I had to have a Polaris dealer do a complete rebuild a few years back and it was about $2200. $2000 for a top end seems way high.
How would the valve hit the ring because of that? Seems like the vlave would move backwards away from the piston if it loosened up, not towards it.
I think after 8000 miles its time! I don't see myself going back until the end of April. Snow will probably be gone
for 2 grand I would send jugs head and valves out to get punched out a 660 about $1300 find a used slp pipe $200/ jets $6.00/ gut air box free /clutching $90 .
slap it all in in about 2hrs
Dumping it. It needs the lower end done as well. $3,000 obo if you know anyone interested in a summer project.
PM rp7x I think he just had Indy Dan do a 07 600 rebuild including line boring case big boy bearings on crank thought it was under 2k.

yup he did, dont believe he got the big boy bearings though thats only on big blocks. and yes it was under $2k, and it has a completly new top end also. Labor was $500, done by the best engine builder in the country with less than 2 day turn around time.
