2011 800 RUSH warranty

Bashing: A person posts a thread saying a four year warranty from Polaris is a good idea and he may buy one in 2012 - you post over and over saying how bad Polaris is and how great other brands are. Giving your opinion is fine, then give it a rest. If he has already looked at the Rush then he must be interested ,no need to blow Doo sunshine either. When Ski Doo came out with the rev it looked weird at first and then it changed the game causing other manufacturers to try to catch up. Did you ever think that may be possible with the Rush? Couldn't be cause it's a Polaris right?

Polaris needs to put the warranty on because they did have a big problem with the 800's. It makes sense to me for them to do it. You have to reassure the customer. I hope they get it right. Everyone has problems some more some less. Its going to be along time before snow so the debate will go on. Is there anybody that has a high mile Polaris on here in the 4k or 5k. So a 2008 or 2009.

More of the same

I noticed that the same two guys who don't own a Polaris 800 couldn't resist giving their opinion on the thread about the re map and new top end. I'm sure that it was valuable information for the person that asked the original question to hear jump brands like I did and go to a Yamaha. Your right not going out of your way to bash at all guys.

What is wrong with warranty?

I must be bashing Yamaha because I also recomend 4 year warranty on Yams... I took 5 years on my Yam......must be bashing myself. lol I like warranties nothing to do with bashing any brand. I also like Doo etek & Yam 4s the most not Doo sunshine my preferences for engines for 2011 release & line ups. You can disagree & have your preference & I would be interested in hearing your factual opinions. Save the brand emotional response as meaningless to me I like facts why something is better or worse. I don't think Rush is wierd looking because I did adjust to it just like you said about revs. Poo has struggled with their 800 & that is a well known fact of the development of their 800 engine. Is the 2011 Poo 800 engine problem free? There is no way to know so a 4 year warranty that Polarisrider 1 metioned would be a good idea in my opinion. Again not bashing I think extended engine warranties are a very good idea with all brands. 2012 EPA Emission requirements are causing all OEMS to push 2s engine technology to meet difficult tasks to use less gas, less oil & results are cleaner emissions & complicted 2s injected engines. Extended transferrable warranties also make it easier to sell your sled any brand to another buyer so you get your money back on break downs, resale price & trade in. To me if you are buying a new sled regardless of brand or engine type buy the extended transferrable warranty. These new sleds are very complicted electronic machines not your Daddy's old 488 engine that ran like a garden hose & loved abuse & ran on 2 year old gas. Don't dismiss extended transferrable warranties as bad thing because I think they will become a snowmobile industry standard just as warranties have become more robust in the auto industry. Embarce warranties as a good thing because they make OEMs build a better product.

If you look at the original post it is about the value of a four year warranty which myself and everyone else has wholeheartedly agreed is a good thing for any manufacturer to offer. Following the original post you will be able to see some of the posts and comments that followed and that is where this thread got off track.

Not so sorry to say, the 755 is loaded up and we are bringing it home all in one pc. Shaken and stirred but not rolled. Darn thing will not die. Ordered my new 800Poo RMK Pro today. get the 4 yr. warranty and a 430# Mtn. sled in my favorite colors. Price? well it is much lower than Retail. I got hooked up. I will give the doubting Thomas's up dates as I enjoy it. It will be great if all manufacturers follow suit on warranties.

4 year transferable warranties will push them all to build better sleds. They all have had issues. I ride Yammi and I am tired of exhaust donuts and idler wheels that last 100 miles. I ride with Pols and always make sure I have a towrope. Pol has had their share of troubles in recent years but it appears they have committed a lot of money and R@D into their new linup. AC has a good riding sled but the fit and finish is crude on a lot of models and the EPA will be an issue for them very soon. Doos are built so light they tend to fall apart and they are the ones pushing the envelope with 2 stroke tech which scares some folks. With the cost of all of them being so high to begin with 4 year warranties had to happen. It is not your father's sport anymore. Things have changed.

Every sled made has it's problems. EVERY one of them. Depening on how loyal one is to a brand, determines what THEY think is brand bashing. I personally do not get into brand bashing, because it is such a huge waste of time.

There are people on every sled forum that LOVE to give their opinion about other brands, and most of the time they point out the negative stuff they have read or heard. They do not go out of their way to point out any of the good points. Is this brand bashing, well, maybe it a little.

X2 - Are they "bashing"? They sure seem to ratioinalize that they are not. It is quite obvious who has their opinions about certain sleds and manufacturers. As the post before this one has pointed out, I highly doubt there is a manufacturer that has NOT had problems. I guess for me, if I have not personally experienced said "issue", I find it hard to be able to give an "opinion". To me, that's a bash. I just get tired of hearing from the same posters that this that and the next thing is junk, when clearly they have not experienced said issue personally.

To the point of this thread, OBVIOUSLY, a 4 year warranty is a good thing. Is Polaris standing by their product? Of course they are.

Lots of responses from this post I started , 2,000+ post since I started this post. Here's the deal they are selling a lot of 2011 Pro R 800 Rush's and reg 800 Rush's, and in 2012 they will be selling more, every sled maker should have a 4 year warranty. Polaris has this 800 motor done right this time.

One 2011 800 Pro R this year one 2012 800 Pro R next year.

I will give you the true test the Pro R 800 against my 800 Dragon this next winter.
Dad liked the Rush better than his 800 IQ. He bought one for 2011 and my friend bought one, also I plan to wait until 2012 but I will run them against my Dragon and see how the back suspension works compared to my Dragon, hole shot, top end and high speed turning on the trails.

Ive been pretty brand loyal to Hanes for the last 15 years. I don't care for those Fruit of the Loom guys.
