Lot of details to come for sure...I'm interested. Lots of the same in that picture as current. Figured that knee high A Arm was coming. I just hope Cat holds out and keeps the ol fashioned flip up hood on a hinge. LMAO. Hate side panels. :)

no plan for this yr but to sell the heck out of light weight 4s to cover the epa avrage of the old 2.I have been told they hope buy next yr

Still curious what their plan is on 2-smokes

Indy,

Remember that article I was trying to rub in you face last week? It was somewhat vague but from what I was able to gain it appears that they're still going to be offering a full compliment of 2 and 4 stroke engines. Here's the link. http://www.mstand.com/issue/14968/18

I believe they're relying on "CAFE" (Corporate Averaging Fuel Economy) and "ABT" (Averaging, Banking and Trading) standards to address the 2012 emissions mandates. All of the manufactures are pursuing this in their own way. Both the CAFE and ABT allow the manufacturers to offer engines that don't meet the mandate as long as they also offer engines that exceed the standards. If I understand how this works (and I highly doubt I do but I'll give it a shot anyways) Hypothetically speaking, the EPA mandate requires the manufacturers to produce a fleet that averages 100 lbs of smoke or less per unit. It also offer the manufactures some flexibility by allowing them to produce models that exceed the 100 lbs limit as long as they offer other models that come in under the mandated amount. As long as the average for the entire fleet comes in at or under the mandated amount they're considered compliant. I'm certain that the real explanation is vastly more sophisticated, unfortunately I'm not.

but if it was cap and trade cat would have to pay money to All,s carbon trading company who would take say a 65%handling fee to sell them credits from a recycled toilet paper factory and then take a cut from their sale to cat and then after all that send the fed their 12% to piss away on social programs and vote buying.where did the other 23%go campaign funds of course

I hope the new M is not going to ride like a rev, that could be a be a disaster.

Three ways I see this anticipation of the M chassis:

1- Keep what is a world class and benchmark chassis
2- change it because it hasn't been changed for a while
3- improve it but keeping the neutral feel

to far forward may work good for bridging bumps on a trail sled but not so good weighted forward in the pow
