Polaris came out with EFI and IFS first. Poo had a late 80's triple with efi, but poo went away from efi very quickly while cat was perfecting it.

Polaris went away from EFI while they were getting the pants sued off of them for using someone elses design.

I think I remember Polaris getting sued because they stole someone else's EFI.

did the cats not have IFS in the 90s and the edge chassi still had them in 2000....
rev was first for doo to loose the trailing arms.....that was 03?

IFS (independent front suspension) isn't the nowadays A-arm front suspension. It's the leap away from leaf spring front suspensions, which polaris was the first to do so back in 1980.

Here's one for ya, Indy. Yamaha had trailing arms in '75 so are they the first for IFS??
And it wasn't Fuji that Polaris stole there design from. A guy went to them with his EFI design and they told they weren't interested in it, the next year they were running it. It was tied up in court for a while, I'm sure Polaris never expected a single guy to be able to win a court case against their team of suit's. They eventually did though and paid the guy millions.

On what sled?? Thought the Trail Cat was the innovator of IFS. Did the Boss Cat have trailing arms or just a couple of short leaf springed skiis out front? What was the original question this thread posed??? Hope the UP gets some snow so I can come up and see you all the 12th-15th.

arctic cat was sued by fuji heavy industries for broken trade agreements for fuel injection but were not charged of anything
