2018/2019 bears

Pats are a good test for the Bears to see how they measure up especially with an injured Mack. I would like to think the Bears can compete with any team but may not be ready for Brady and BB yet. Could be competitive or they could get blown out as well... just don’t know but pretty sure this one goes in the L column.

That is pretty much it. Agree.

Public heavy on pats(usually wrong)...

Pats have played poorly on the road this year...losing to detriot and jacksonville....but great at home...all the public remembers is the 43 points last week.

Bears got a shot!

Bears should score, mitch doesnt make the mistakes i think its winnable.

I almost picked the Bears this week cause as momoney stated the Pats have been rough on the road this year but i think they have righted the ship. I think its gonna be a good game but I am still giving the Pats the edge. Main reason...I am concerned about the health of Mack. All i know is that ticket prices have been going up! Thought about taking my son, who is a pats fan to the game but base tickets were going for $300 a piece and obviously much higher from there.

The Pats did not have Edelman for the first 4 games of the year. Now he is back and they are also getting production from their new receiver. I am afraid it will not be much of a game. Brady and BB have been at this a long time. Age and treachery will win out over youth and skill everytime.

A win is a win and the Bears made it look ugly but it goes in the win column. Bears have an off weak on Sunday, or i meant to say the Bills. Although anything can actually happen in the NFL. Defense was dominating against a bad Jets team but that's what you have to do against teams like that. Bears future outlook is good, with a pretty winnable schedule coming up. I think they are better than the Lions, not as good as the Vikes and can play with the Pack. If they lose both to Vikes, the Rams, and lose to the Pack, that would put their record at 9-7,a pretty good record. 10-6 isnt out of the realm of possibility. Might be a good week to sit Mack again but the Long injury might be a big blow, will have to see what it comes out as.

ohhh the Pack....so close to a great game ans they lose in typical Packer fashion. That cannot happen and no excuse for it. I just don't see the Pack as a major threat to anyone and yet can be a major threat in any game. You just never know what team you will get each week. With Rodgers you always have a chance, with their defense it seems you never have a chance. Tough game at the Pats this week.

Pretty disappointed in the Vikes this week. I really wanted to see them make a statement against the Saints and get that big victory. They are still my favorite for the NFC north but i don't see them going far in the playoffs.

and the Lions are once again the lions......

NFC North up for grabs!

Halfway through the season. Philly and Jacksonville biggest busts so far. Young next generation quarterbacks looking legit. Green Bay played its best game of the year and should have won easily but they blew it. Whoever wins NFC North will have a sucky record and will have to play a wild card team which will probably be Carolina or Seattle or maybe Philly. Should they come out of that which is doubtful they would have to play the Saints or the Rams at their house. A tall task. The only NFC team that could accomplish that would be the Pack with Rodgers. However they might not even win the division. No wild cards will come from the central. Barring injury it should be KC vs NE for the AFC and NO vs Rams for NFC. Both would be good games and make for a really good SB. If the Pack does not get into the playoffs McCarthy will finally get the ax. Clay Matthews will get picked up by the stupid Vikings and Jordy Nelson will come back to GB next season and all will be well in Cheeseland.

I wanted to keep my mouth shut until Trubisky hit the halfway mark and here we are. Trubisky has good legs runs well and is durable. As a passer not so much over throws on long balls time and time again. Sometimes he just doesn’t seem to be in sync with his very talented receivers. Trubisky could very well improve his passing accuracy but usually doesn’t happen you either can throw receivers open or you can somewhat improve but just don’t have it as a natural. I haven’t given up on Trubisky but at this point I wouldn’t have a problem drafting another QB or trading for a proven QB. I think the Bears are good enough to get to the playoffs just going to have to play out the season and see results. Both the Pack and the Vikings could get hot and Detroit is at the bottom of the division again the next 8 games will define the season. It is very entertaining to watch the North as anything can happen and a lot of parity. I’m hoping Trubisky improvement is vertical this year but I have my doubts about him. Looking forward to second half of the season!

Hey Durphee,
If you ever need tix to a game in Green bay let me know, face value plus a small vig. We have a 4-pack available to many Green package games.
Currently have Detroit, Falcons and Arizona for $109 a piece in section 137.

Here's my take on the Packers. Eight games to go, I would say that 7-8-1 would be realistic. They could still catch fire but it's looking unlikely. They've got a good G.M. that knows talent. As for McCarthy? It all depends on how the team responds in the next few weeks. Personally, I think the guy is burned out and could very well call it quits after the season. I've read that the plan in Green Bay is for two more drafts to reload the talent to then make another run at a Superbowl with Aaron Rodgers.

In that scenario Rodgers would be 38 or 39 and if they change coaches in 2019 it would take the new guy a couple of years to implement. If that is the case, it would all come together in 3 years from now.

Bears look like they can make a run at the North title. Trubisky growing with every game and Howard starting to run like he should. Cohen doing real well if he can stay healthy but not a lot of depth behind him. Injury looms big for the second half if key players can play with nicks and no serious injuries the Bears could go a long way and have a good winning season. Vikings not right and I’m not sure what’s wrong? Sure not Cousins he is playing very well under duress. Vikings or Bears for the North title. Detroit and the Pack are done wait until next year just don’t have the team talent other than a spoiler when Rogers gets lucky. Cream of the NFL are Saints, Rams, and the Chiefs any one of them could win the SB.

I think i would lump pats in there as well. come playoff time, ill still take brady over the cheifs until proven otherwise

Bears won the game easily as they should have, now is when they need to play well. have to beat detriot at home and big game against vikings. really liking how they are playing and happy they decided to let mack rest and get right for the upcoming divisional games.

packers arent quite done yet but the team isnt complete enough i dont think to make a run at SB.

bears could easily be 7-1 but have had to go thru growing pains. they are learning and yes health is key. get mack back and they can play with anyone. mitch has impressed. but now its sink or swim time.

hard to get a read on the bears.
Do they have the easiest schedule in the league?
Still got the Lions twice,,, Jets, Dolphins, Bills, Bucaneers, Cardinals. Giants and Niners coming up.
That's literally 9 easy wins right there,,, some easier than others.

Packers are showing with the continuous mental mistakes every week they're a poorly coached team. I do agree somewhat don't think McCarthy would care if they replace him, he looks tired. Prolly mentally burned out from dealing with Rodgers. Ready for a fresh start in Cleveland.

The North Division is there for the team that mans up and takes it! The Bears are the hungriest for respect in the NFL especially after the disaster with the Pack in the opener. The Bears could have easily tanked thinking they were not for real but Nagy got them ready and to believe in themselves. It will be interesting to watch the Bears play in these up coming divisional games beat the lions, Vikings and pack that has been beating up on the Bears for years. If that happens anything is possible for the Bears as game to game improvement has been evident and needs to continue.

Who better to run the table, boys?

....at some point this year all of the bad or non calls never in the packs favor have to show up as bad or non calls IN their favor to even out the season.
We sit at least at -10 calls in that category and all were at crucial, game changing points in a game....not a whine....just facts. I do believe it usually evens out by seasons end.
Honestly,....no one can ignore the bad calls any longer. If McCarthy is burned out that fact is a big part of it....talk about frustrating!
Who would the pack hire ?

Bear's schedule is Lions, Vikes, Lions, NYG, Rams, Green Bay, SF and end with MN at MN. Don't see them running the table. Mack has an ankle injury. He will have the ankle injury the rest of the season. He will not be full speed like he was in the first four games. Trubisky too unpredictable. They are not built to come from behind should they get 14 or so down. Guess I am not a believer. Yet anyway. Do think GB is done for this year. Whoever screws up the least between the Vikes and Bears will win the division. And then be quickly bounced.
