The pricing does scare me a bit. Also going to need some time to let the look of that headlight/new plastic sink in. One shot I hate it and the next shot looks pretty good..... Those hood vents make me see hieroglyphics...

I’m a Doo guy and that sounds almost impossible but if it is true good for you. And I’m sure fugifilm will say something about that pricing also. I will also agree with indy500 can’t base anything off msrp. And also Polaris has nailed it when it comes to customize it your way. Ski-Doo gives you black and usually some hideous colors then you have to pay for wraps or that all apart and paint and powder coat.
Poo now charging for colors also. And when you go to the build they have cut down drastically on the options. The was difference between online and dealer. Should have said it included options. Bags bars etc. so that’s prolly that a fair assertion on my part

So what's the difference between the Launch edition and Vr1?? Guess I'm missing something.

Saw someone on HCS say different shocks.

I'm a Cat guy, but this new gen Poo is pretty damn solid. The 650 engine is really intriguing for a trail sled. Love all the order options with Poo too.

You can keep Doo. They seem like the snowmobile world's equivalent to Toyota. Reliable, but ubiquitous, as exciting to look at as a pan of meatloaf generally (or a pile of regurgitated meatloaf in the case of their few loud color schemes) , and something everyone and their dog owns just because its a Poo; because: Poo. Sleds for minions and lemmings. Blah... no thanks! A fast Camry is still a Camry.

I like what Poo released, although I also likes what Doo released....guess I get impressed easily! My biggest issue is that Doo released the Rmotion X rear suspension and the RAS X front for the Renegade (which is what I am considering). Poo releases the Matryx front suspension. How am I supposed to know which rides better and handles the way I would want it? I love how Polaris allows you (charge you of course) to customize your sled and looking at Ski doo I see the renegade XRS and X have a huge selection of black (which look like every other black renegade) and yellow and black. I like the look of the new display of the Polaris cause one of my biggest gripe of the PIDD was screen size and that you couldn't see the temp gauge while riding with the map on. I guess it will come down to who gives me the best deal although I have had good service with my local Polaris dealership.

Yah Doos colors for Renegade are horrible this year. Between Backcountry and Assault for me.

$2975 off MSRP the 2021 Doo I have built thru my dealer. I cant see Poo beating that
My last sled I bought new was $2500 off msrp which is the same deal they give everyone who walks in the door plus another $1000 off from my golden ticket from purchasing a new sled the year before for a total of $3500. Turned my $14000 msrp sled into $10,500.

I will admit I am an Arctic Cat fan, however my opinion is they are all good, just depends on what you want to ride, but when I first saw this pic I was looking for the release date of the new transformers movie. To me...that's just ugly IMO

That’s a great deal. I stand corrected

I like the idea of narrowing up the cockpit. I have had knee pads on my last 4 or 5 machines and still found my knee outside on the side panel when really getting after it. Just playing with colors and the black red combo is the only one catching my eye and it looks a lot like the 2015 Pro-S I bought years ago. Im gonna keep playing with the builder tool. Hopefully stumble on to something I just have to order. With two years of warranty left on my flawless 2019 XC this is tough.... 1583265017475-productstill.jpg

I agree, that hood looks like a crime scene with the chalk outline of the deceased smack dab in the middle!!! Is the subject face up or face down? LOL! Needs some Caution-Crime scene tape, cause that's a real crime what they designed there.:disturbed: JMO, I'm sorry if I have offended those faithful consumers.:cool3:-Mezz

That might not be too far from the truth. Today's young consumers grew up with the Transformer toys and movies so yes, they probably relate very well. As for me, Coon Skin caps and Red Rider BB Guns were Boss so I don't see it translating on the new Polaris.

What your not mentioning though is that with Polaris you can choose from roughly 8 different hood/side panel colors, 5 tunnel colors, and 5 rail colors. Name another manufacturer that you can customize your sled down to that point and order the exact color of everything you want. Also not noted is it seems most Polaris dealers offer their snowcheck sleds MUCH lower than msrp than what Doo dealers will offer their snowchecks at so comparing msrp list prices isn’t fair.

The customization is certainly much higher than Doo, possibly to the detriment to the overall cost structure. Remember the Model T Ford, one color black, makes the assembly line move faster and more efficient. I believe some of those color combos wull hurt resale a some people have horrible taste. My Doo guys has a green Gade 850, NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE!

I will have to credit you with knowing snow check numbers on Poo as I have only bought overstock Poo.
I do plan to cross shop a similar Poo with the 2021 850 Gade X I already have a price on (same dealer).

I know you do your research....do Doo's really do that much better on gas/oil than Poos?

Yes, on the 850 it is.
My first tank on a new 2020 850 Gade was 14.8 MPG (calculated by math). Once broke in at 800 miles or so you can see 18.5MPG consistent.
Of course, I don't beat a sled but do see 100 MPH every trip and 80+ on pretty much every grade stretch.

The new Poo 650 will get its best mpgs, on 91 oct.

Many people running Etecs on Mystik Sea & Snow, or Mystik Full Synthetic 2-Stroke. Very good value deals @ Blains, and Mills farm stores. With the low amount of oil used, we have just stayed with Amsoil Interceptor as our E-valves stay super clean, never have stuck, just wipe clean. It is also available at Blains.

I run 91 in the 850 Doo as it is asked for, but the computer will retard spark etc. if gas has a lower octane.

As for oil (this may be overkill), I toasted a 2004 800 Doo motor at 120 miles then took it to the Doo dealer for warranty service in which he said "you don't have Doo semi-synthetic oil in it". I said it is the correct "API rating as stated in the manual". He said, "the repair could be refused but since I am service-mined I will get it done'. After that it is $34.99 a gallon full synthetic from Hexco. Still not too bad as you can get 450 miles from a tank of oil before the oil light comes on.
