I just priced a 2021 Poo 137 850 VR out. Wow. Nearly $17k!

Im out! even with a good dealer discount they are getting to be too expensive for the 1000 miles i get to put on in a year. Last new sled i bought was a 14 Assault and I paid under 11 OTD Current model. I will keep my eye open for low mile used to upgrade.

Poo needs to whittle down their line up and focus, with less sledders each year you don't increase models good lord; very bad business decision that can bite them in the pooper.
Just focus on a few and make them great, economies of scale and lower inventory can help with the pricing.
Unless, Poo is sitting on parts galore and needs to exhaust them (pun intended) before they can scale down their lineup I don't know what's going on.

For poops sake, I tried to build a sled similar to the 850 Gade X pack and can't decide is it the new VR 137, is it the XC 137 Launch edition, is it the Switchback Pro-S, is it the Switchback XCR, is it the Indy XC 137?

Final thought, let that beaver-tail die for crying out loud!

Bear, I would guess you are somewhat correct on leftover parts and a think all manufactures do that. Why did Doo keep making the XS chassis and now even the XP my guess is not that they are any cheaper to make but to use up parts. And I also think all manufacturers make to many models that overlap just to find that next little nitch in the game.

Totally agree fuji! Very confusing, even my very good Poo friend is the same way, and a dealer expressing he is in the same boat. "What do I want, this, that, or the other"? Poo has made great strides in the past few years! However, they could blow it all by themselves very quickly like this, with so many very, closely, conflicting models? Can you say Cats past practice?

@ 9.5 gallons the Doo 850 range is severely limited at my trail speeds where, from what I am sifting out with a few honest Doo owners comments as well as sled mag reports is well within what I am averaging with the Poo 800 with my 12 gallon tank.
Oil is a non issue as well. The Poo tank is a gallon and like I mentioned easily 600 miles of range. Not many will find that range a problem at all.

Not what we seen in Ontario 2 years ago.

I agree with your statement..plus, the XS 600 carb is around because they are making bank on it.
Been around for 12 years plus the motor for (maybe 20?), GREEDY BASTARDS!
Dealers have been saying the EPA was asking for that motor to be replaced for 10 years, looks like this is the year.

10% more HP! Talked to Kevin from Snow Tech magazine and he said you have to ride that chassis to believe it. He said it's a game changer! That 146 is going to be a killer U.P. sled. Polaris is staying on the gas big in a big way. Very exciting to be a dealer for them! The 650 has the power and then some of a 700 for those wondering. The feel of the Matrix chassis honestly feels like someone has built it just for you and it looks mean as ****. Headlight and handlebar warmers are groundbreaking as well. Many little things that the riders are going to appreciate! Lots of new Lock and Ride goodies to which will transfer over to the AXYS chassis. Polaris fans you have lots to be excited for!!

Hello Kip,
May I ask what VR-1 means?
Guys in the Green Bay area don't know.

Thank you, Bear

stamps and molds have been paid for for some time now . nothing but cash makers now . why toss them out in the trash pile if still making money ?

Bear, VR-1 simply means 7 inch display. I know it's confusing. Hopefully this helps buddy!

If you're asking the exact meaning behind VR1 I'm not 100 percent sure Bear but I do know all VR-1 models are equipped with 7 inch display.

Is the 650 available in a basic no frills Pro-S?

Edit;
Looks like the pro s is being phased out....just the old 600 and 850 engines available....sad.

It's really not sad. If you rode the new one there's no need for more models. People that have upgraded from the Pro S love their new sled!

Back to the sled - that 650 looks sweet, seems like a great deal for trail riders - 135 or so hp and on 87 octane. Pricing them out though it's only a $1,000 difference between that and the 850. You'd probably get that back at resale too - not sure how many 650's they will move unless they put more of a difference in the price. Maybe they will do that through rebates.

Get my drift, buy the 850; the weight between 600 and 800 class sleds used to be an issue. Now, they are so close the 850 is a better value and will sell fast.
