Everybody I know who was a loyal yamaha snowmobile owner...owned a wave runner, a yamaha utv/atv, or bike...and some had generators, lawn mowers, and even yamaha stereo systems...they took their loyalty to the extreme....watching yamaha (and cat ) half *** it in our sport is hard to watch...

That describes me. At one time I had 3 Yamaha ATV's, Rhino (SXS), Yamaha outboard (still do), 4 Yamaha Sleds and 2 Yamaha waverunners. Only have one ATV left (2003 grizzly) and I'm thinking about trading for a new Can AM and selling my last 2 Yamaha sleds soon. 2 Doo sleds were spring ordered. I'm still hopeful about Yamaha and haven't completely given up but I can't sit and wait any longer.

shoot I'd change them every 4,000 miles just because..NEVER blew one on an apex...that is about the only thing I wish doo would learn from yamaha .(that and headlights that are actually decent)..those doo belts are pricey...and not as tough as those old 8 DN'S

Exactly. I NEVER blew a belt in 20 years on any Yamaha sled I owned.

Sad to see that nothing changed! I too have "jumped ship" and now have a Skidoo. I would like a Sidewinder, but might as well buy a used one as they haven't changed. I still have 2 older Yamaha 2 stroke machines that I really like, probably keep them around "just because" how much I like them! There is no way that I could justify spending the money for a new Yamacat right now, it's looking pretty dim for that company.

I didn't take time to read all the biotching about Yamaha...yes, I am disappointed...not so much the lack of anything innovative but the lack of color choices...you want a certain color combo? Take the model that comes that way or pound sand...and they pretty much all blow...I'll stick with my all-Yami-blue '17, Thank You...

Colors?????????????? Who cares about colors???? How about fixing the chaincases? How about fixing the clutches? How about fixing the driveshafts? All three serious issues since day 1 five years ago. Any of those three will leave you stranded. And have. And replacement parts are on back order until April. So if you bust you are done for the year warranty or not. The cooling systems on Sidewinders are so close to the bone that anything but perfect conditions will result in overheating. The guages look like something out of 1979 Toyota. They weigh 150 lbs more than an XCR. The QS3r shocks the HIGH END Sidewinders come with might as well be called QS2r because the third setting is useless. I can't even imagine the shock quality on the lower end models. And to top it all off -- They are not that fast. In stock form anyway. And if you pump them up warranty over. So you will get to pay $6000 for a new motor. It really does not matter what color you paint a turd. I have learned my lesson. Red White and Blue XCR 850 for me next season.

When he started by mentioning COLOR, I just assumed he was being sarcastic or joking around. Like really....how many people buy a sled based on color as the determining factor? Estimated 2% - and those are girls.

IDK how Jaret can be the marketing guy anymore...

Now now you’re lucky there is any face for Yamaha marketing. Jaret can’t do anything about sleds products Textron offers with Yamaha engines. Eps was a good idea for SWs 10 years late for a lot of defectors. Yamaha is exactly where they chose to be with snowmobiles. Yes old Abe it was difficult to separate fact from fiction with the Yamaha snow division but by now Yamaha is only in the snomo biz because of Textron otherwise there would be nothing. Imo it is what it is and it ain’t going to change. You don’t like it go another way plenty of good 4s sleds available.

To each his own had and have many Yamaha's have a Riot which is underpowered from what I'm use to. Will continue to buy Yamaha's at least their motors don't burn down like others. The new SRX is awesome. Nothin like trail riding at 300 ish h.p. on regular 93 gas all day and being one of the fastest on the lake with same setup. I can say I have had no and I mean no problems with any Yamaha or AC/Yamaha. Thats why there is more than one MFG. so each can like there own.

Doo has the 4 stroke market covered. Ace engines have more than proven themselves worthy! Yamaha can build their "All new, all Yamaha", however it's way too late for me.

Hmmmm? Regular 93 gas, eh? 93 octane gas is Premium E blend gas.

Yamaha ain’t building a new concept 4s or 2s sled that ship sailed years ago. Yamacat not your cup of tea then what you want won’t be in near or distant future. It’s so obvious theses 2 OEMs have no plan to separate you buy their collaboration sleds or go another way.

Yes I am. Been riding yamaha since ‘77. Apex was fine, but I miss a 2S motor. I can deal with the lack of a new chassis...gimme that just been snowmobiling smell.

Yep...us old yami guys made the after market suspension guys rich the last 20 years...but I'll admit...I liked buying 8DN belts, that would last 10,000 miles at 59 dollars a pop (back in the day)....shoot I'd change them every 4,000 miles just because..NEVER blew one on an apex...that is about the only thing I wish doo would learn from yamaha .(that and headlights that are actually decent)..those doo belts are pricey...and not as tough as those old 8 DN'S
I had a Poo skid in one Yamaha, and a Doo skid in another. My RX-1 used to blow up the 8dn on occasion, but that was a clutching issue. You could get three of those for the price of one Doo belt!<br>

Seems as much of the increased sales is related to buying discounted past MY sleds. They still have listed MY 2019 Vectors left.

You couldn't discount those 40% and get me to buy one. Seriously. Anything over 50%, I might consider it.

Please Cirrus. Give me a break, really? That's about as foolish of comment as I've ever heard on here and that's pretty bad.

How's that possible? Stopped producing them after 2018. The program to sell old inventory was in 2018/19 and it worked for yami.
