I waited and waited and waited some more for a Yamaha Enduro and just did not happen. If you like the procross hard steering monster power the Sidewinders or Thunder Kitty is in your wheel house. Buds with Vipers seem to like them but have problems for me Viper didn’t click after 2012 Apexxtx

Call you Yellowdust now?

Whitedust - certainly appreciate your POV and honest feedback. I have been on Yamaha sleds for the last 15 years or so, owning an Apex attak, Nytro xtx, Phazer LTX, Viper LTX and Viper XTX. What I have really liked is the Yamaha motor reliability. Never a break down in any of that category. But I find myself doing more and more off trail. I did ride with some guys who had the freerides and enduro, but with the 800 or 850 etec's. The fit and finish of these new yamacat sleds has me at least looking for a potential better mousetrap. What is the difference between the enduro and the renegade? You mentioned you are worried about getting stuck on the two tracks - does the enduro have limited off trail capability?

There is no turbo lag on a Sidewinder. None. Nada. Zero. What you are feeling is the ITC throttle. The 900 T was not designed to compete with the Sidewinder on the big end and it never will. SkiDoo doesn't even care about that. It was also not designed to compete with their own 850. It was designed for big mile trail cruisers where gas mileage is also a factor. It is not as light on the front as the 850 which is good for a trail cruiser. If it went about 12 miles an hour faster it would be the perfect new sled for Whitedust. It might be anyway. Apex speedometers are a long ways off. It would be interesting to line up an Apex and a 900 T and see what happened.

Sorry but unfortunately there's lag on every Turbo... Throttle by wire or ITC I'm very familiar with as should anyone be who's had a Toyota vehicle for over 13 years... If you think that a stock Apex is 12 mph faster than a stock 900T I've not seen it from my real world experiences... and yes the 900T was not to compete with a Winder but like it or not it does compete for the Gap people who have to compare up in models when the one below doesn't fit our needs or wants...

Enduro 850 Gade is 555 lbs dry, ADR 850 Gade is 485 dry.
More weight off trail less flotation.

Enduro has adjustable skis, air ride, electric seat mid height windshield ,ice ripper as standard. The renegade not sure which track , low windshield none of the other goodies. I’m not riding FRs now because of 8 foot embankments 3 feet or more on the FR and no one wAnts to go in them with me. Lol In a normal Vilas FR snow depth I expect good performance with the Enduro on FRs at 555 lbs compared to around 700 of the xtx.

I was just trolling the Doo talk site and read 8 or so threads and it seems this machine has much upside compared to other Doo 4 strokes but tops out at 90 with a 200 lb man onboard, that is simply too slow.
No, I don't ride over 70 much but..I do ride over 80 on grades off and on for fun and even see 100ish.
Is the 900 too slow? For me yes, it'll have to be the 850.

I have run radar at 101 - 103 mph at 240lbs , 90 is a good cruising speed for this turbo

Ya I’m not sure where this 90 mph top speed is coming from for 900t maybe NA 900 tops at 90? Cluster on demo recorded 110 mph top speed but who knows. 900t has too much balls to top at 90 mph. I’ll find out Saturday when in UP I’ll air it out

So does it pull as hard as an Apex low to mid range?

Dial in Sport and will rip your arms off , standard powerful too. Eco is duffer speed topped out at 70 for me just wanted to see what eco would do. Not enough straights so far to top it in Standard or Sport. 3 Apex owners all said plenty of hp with Ace turbo. I’m a mid range punch it guy rabbit starts tearing up groom not my style mid range punch is there or I would’ve bought.

Good to know was leaning towards a Sidewinder but like u it didnt fit my riding style either its a beast that would of wore me out on those 200 mile days especially in the twisties and Enduro being lighter should be easier to flick around.

I thought SW engine was fabulous but I don’t need 200 ponies for trails. If I have I’ll use it so don’t want to be tempted. For me it was have power at my thumb but also enjoying the ride experience. I was worried about losing eps especially after trying to steer a SW but the Enduro steering wasn’t an issue and I can adjust carbides by a dial or hit air ride button to increase or decrease pressure on front skis and rear compression status. Enduro really is a well thought out sled for the masses.

Well, well, well the Yamahahaha diehard finally got into the 21st century and bought a real suspension. Better late than never. Can’t believe you stuck it out this long! I lasted 5 years on that archaic iron. I was beginning to wonder about you! Congrats.
Tell me you don’t already see a night and day diff in ride and handling?

Whitedust congrats on new sled. After all these years about eps and yamaha this yamaha that, you finally woke up and came out of the closet. Enjoy.

You Guys are funny I enjoyed my Polaris Indy back in the day then my AC 580ext, then moved to Skiddoo twins and triples with GT 580 , Formula 3 700 and to Mxz 800 then on to my Apex Attak and Apex xtx 4s. I’m still fully a 4s Guy. Buying an Enduro Ace 900 turbo is simply buying the best technology for me at this time. Had Yamaha released a new platform to replace the Apex it would have been difficult to resist. Unfortunately that didn’t happen so the doo Enduro hit all my 4s and sled feature hot buttons. As far as new 4s I certainly hope Yamaha can get back on track soon and wish them the best.

Nice! Curious what you think of the ITC? Some guys on DooTalk are absolutely losing their minds over it, and I really have no idea what they are referring to. I can only assume most of them are coming from 850 2 strokes, and just don't like the feel.

Why does a sled need ITC?....weak wristed owners....ladies?

My throttles rotate on all my sleds, nothing new....simply loosen the clamp a bit.

Nobody makes a sled that directly competes with the 900 T Enduro. It will be perfect for Whitedust. Don't think he didn't take a long hard look at Pol. Kip sells them too.

Well its funny last week my Dad who is 70 told me how much he liked how is friends Ski Doo rode. My Dad has all Yamaha's I am going to snow check something but think I want a Side Winder. Found a decent deal on a Snow Check but have a month to decide. Well Yamaha needs to make something fast to keep any die hards they have left.
