A Real Sneak Peek
Didn’t bother to check the show times and got there an hour early but the doors were open. Well OK, first I went in the wrong door and ended up in some kind of women’s symposium. Even I knew I was in the wrong place.
Anyway, being able to get in an hour early, the crowd was understandably light and I really got to see things close up. Lots of good stuff to see – how can you not like looking at new hardware? At 2:00 (when the doors were scheduled to open), holy crap! It was a mob scene. Let me tell you, there is interest out there. If I had to rank the interest of the horde when I was there, I think Ski-Doo was the clear winner, Polaris #2 and Yamaha #3, although there were a fair number of people checking out the Yamaha line-up and the reps were busy.
I was really impressed with the number of different models in the show this year. Way better than some of the shows in prior years. Interesting that Doo scored the opening spot by the entrance. Glad I had the shades on. Man they are bright! But you know, I actually liked a lot of the color setups. Of course, I still have my neon green ski jacket so maybe I’m prejudiced.
Fun day! There is just nothing like being able to get on the new sleds to really get a feel for what is out there. Got the info I needed and saw a lot of great looking sleds and great engineering features.
