Thinking about snow and winter trips is the only thing that keeps my brain from frying in this 100 degree crap!
SUMMER SUCKS:mad:

Big boys? LOL.

I don't care about things like the widowmaker and will take a nice hill with deep powder or tree riding anyday.

X2, I'm with ya on that one. I'll take the widowmaker as long as its covered in trees and I'm weaving through them while on my side panel!

I'm in I may not as many new sleds as I want but as a mechanic I love tinkering. My sleds will never be new but they will be unique. I work so I can live. I do no not live so I can work. Life is about priorities. Sledding is top 2 for me.

Been in it since 1970. My parents were big into going to our cabin in the UP. We went to almost all of the I500's through 1985 or so. This spring I decided to sell all the sleds. I may change my mind come fall but since I am a public employee the cuts are eating my pleasure funds up and I just can't justify watching the sleds sit. I haven't had them north for two years now. I hate to get out but for now it just makes sense. I'm sure I'll get back in soon or just rent. I have a brother in L'Anse so I always have a place to go.

Been riding since 1966. I still have the invoice from that 1966 from Archie's Live Baits in Antigo--$895.07 uncluding tax & 1 qt of oil. Needless to say there have been countless sleds thru the years, just ordered two Adventures. Yes the sport is kind of costly, but so is any motorized sport. Look at what you have dollar wise if you fish musky or walleye tournaments. We race super late model (pavement) stockcars, a good motor from B & B, Wagners, or Goodwin will cost upwards of $25,000 or more for just the motor. I used to live in Stevens Point, but retired and moved north. We built a house adjacent to the snowmo trail. Now I trailer 6 times a year to the UP or N. WI, otherwise I ride from the house. I also ride a Goldwing, last summer I put on 17,000 mi, all the miles were in N. WI & the UP, with one trip to the Trestle INN for a hamburger. I do without quite alot, no trips to the Carribean, no baseball games, no football games, etc. I have prioritized what I want to do. Yes, there have been bad winters & wet summers, but it will be a sad day when I won't be able to snowmobile or ride the G.W.
