This is Don and Donna from the Mosquito. We are working on getting opened as soon as possible, we are hoping by Christmas.
We will try to respond to all your question as we can. First off because of all the legal issues none of the parties involved are allowed to discuss what happened. We can only says that the issues have been resolved.
We had several of our friends that were helping us yesterday at the Bug Bar. We were having trailers full of wood being delivered and stacked. We asked a couple trailers to move on because they would have been in the way of all the work trying to be done. We are sorry if anyone was offended.
We also had just had the septic cleaned out on Monday and we are trying to get the ground froze before all the snowmobile trailers start driving over it. We are not sure how the insurance issues would have worked on that if someone's trailer had gone through.
Also, we are reading a lot of comments about if we will give the business 100%, we definitely will give 100% plus. We have a new menu ready to go, Don soups and chili will be back. We are getting all of the employees lined up, everyone is excited to get the bar running again.

People can speculate all they want. It's nobody's business what happened and shouldn't be worried about the "details" of the events that led up to this. We've NEVER had a bad experience here no matter who owned it and don't expect this to change things. Good luck guys and we'll be seeing you soon !!

Now that I'm here to defend myself.
9:00 for a double Jameson is cheap. I would know since that's my drink of choice. I'm sorry if I could not just give liquor away. It's called running a business. Does anyone here go to the gas station and expect 2 trucks to be filled for the price of one tank?
I've been on trail 3 for 10 yrs and know many of your faces.
Took a chance on myself while raising 2 small children. Who I am now a single mother to.
My personality has nothing to do with anything. But thanks for the observation.
Has anyone here ran a business while being a mother and their relationship was failing before the business was even bought?

Thank you to those of you who supported me as a person for all these years and who stuck up for me when the crud hit the fan. For understanding that life throws curve balls and all a person can do is dodge them or catch them.

Don't get to stirred up Shelie. Internet is full of trolls. The people that know ya, know ya. Bar business is tough. Raising a family is tougher. So that makes you pretty damn tough!! Lots of people look back and have regret. The little bit I know ya you go for it. Like that squirrel you escorted out of the bar. Not to many people I know would let a squirrel latch on to their arm... Good times. See ya this winter!!

I too am a small business owner and agree with slimcake the internet is full of trolls, everyone has all the answers and three words you said are exactly correct "took a chance" and you did which is way more than most people can say when it comes to business ownership. when you start or own a business everyone automatically assumes that you are rich, look how busy they are, he/she must be swimming in it. When unless you have been there no one has the slightest idea of what it take to make a dollar. I have come to the realization that if you are going to complain about your work place, environment, your wage or that the boss drives a nicer car than you do......hey... you have the same opportunity as I did as every business owner had, and instead of having all the answers, voicing or assuming what should or could have been done, my answer to all those people..... start your own business and see what it takes, the sacrifice that has to be made, I have also said that you have to make $100 to take a $1.00 of it home and that's probably not far from the truth. No matter what everyone has to say you..."took a chance" I would not consider it as a failure even though everyone has all the answers and criticism as to why, you "took a chance" as all business owners have and most people don't have the slightest idea of what that chance takes yet everyone has all the answers.

Funny to because I guarantee she has no idea who I am - but that's why I would always support them because she treated me just like a regular.
Sorry to hear everything that is going on and wish you the best with the new journey. On the bright side - everyone complaining probably switched to Parkview... guess you get the final laugh.

Lol that flying squirrel was not dying on my watch! Little bugger kept stealing chips and candy bars. Set off the alarm and the cops came lol. Thanks for the kind words. Just been getting beat up online. Doing my best to just keep on keeping on and supporting this sport. Learning to ride this year... no more stealing sleds in the lot for me ha.

I guess I am just trying to say most people have no idea of what it takes to run a business and an owner shouldn't have to explain or defend themselves, and unless it directly affects you its really no ones business that's all. it has always been one of my stops, never no complaints and it will continue to be. again I apologize if it came across wrong.

No hard feelings about the $9.00 Jameson. I've paid that before but I was served a short pour IMO....and what's really funny is I distinctly remember your bartender say that the Jameson shouldn't even be out because that was the "owners drink"....I was about to order a beer but she poured it anyway....LOL...best of luck in the future we stop at all the bars when we ride and try to keep ppl employed.
