Made some progress and need to be under 200 before end of month. Today 202.4

You can do that Lenny! You're one of the strongest people I know, and you can follow a plan so well, just look at what you're doing on the remodel. Put you're plan together, commit to it, remember it, especially at night, and you'll hit that goal!

Well thanks Gary, I appreciate the kind words but this weight thing is harder than any work I've ever done. It's taken many weeks to pay close attention to the areas where I struggle and now knowing that it has gotten easier.

Sounds like you got a handle on it, now that it is getting easier, don't become complacent and lose the gains (losses) you've made. Hang in there and "keep your eye on the prize" so to say.

Hey guys I'm back, been kinda busy, not that I haven't stepped on a scale just haven't taken time to sit down and type!
I've been up and down, this morning was 228.5, so up 2 from two weeks ago, a victory in my opinion since Thurs.- Mon. I was in NW Wis. on
vacation with my wife and 2 grown children, eat, hike, eat, golf, eat, played some games and eat some more, so pleased I wasn't up more than 2#.
So back to the normal routine, except for a family picnic, the 4th and so on.

Good job Lenny!
Indy try not to ever go over that 200 again, because as you age it gets hard to lose!

Have a great week!!

Well did my first 5k on Saturday and finished in 33:12. My goal was under 35 minutes.
Didn't bother weighing in, on vacation last week and ate what I wanted. Lol

Thanks Skutr. I thought for sure timer was gonna read 39 or 40 when I rounded the corner. So was pretty happy to see it only at 32:xx. My calves were pretty tight and did have walk twice for a bit. Definitely a lot different running on pavement versus treadmill.

Keep the faith Lenny -- You're so close to the 100's!!! Don't worry so much about how much you eat but be careful with WHAT you eat. Keep the carbs to under 100 grams/day and the protein around 200 grams/day. Easiest way to do that is to have 1 piece of fruit for every 5 servings of vegatables, avoid breads & dairy, eat all the low fat turkey & chicken you want. Do that + exercise and the pounds will just seem to melt away.

Maybe I'm just young but I've found the opposite. 190 this morning, now down 40 lbs. I limit myself to 1 diet soda a day, no more snackingor eating when I get home from work at 3 am. Eat all the same foods for my main meals just smaller portions. Stick pretty close to 2000 calories a day.

tough on 4th july weekend
Amen to that!
I guess what Skutr is trying to say is a week of strawberry shortcake and drinking beer all weekend isn't the way to go. :/ lol
Up to 206....ouch.

Maybe I'm just young
Yes that has everything to do it! Like someone else mentioned, don't go back, keep it off. Good job btw!!!

Back at it this week. I did get peas, beets and cabbage from parents garden for this week. Mmm.

Here I am, a couple days late and a couple pounds heavier 229.5 ouch!!
Excuses, birthday cake and 4th of July, Lenny and eagle I feel your pain, I think the treadmill is calling my name.
Good work Indy!
Have a good week everyone

weighed in today at 170 lbs with 12.3% body fat and I don't think I have been in this good of shape since I was 25 yrs old. I've been busting my a-- since February and so far I've lost a total of 18 lbs of body fat and replaced it with 8 lbs of muscle.

Eagle - you're right - beer and strawberry shortcake isn't the way to go. Lots of lean beef, turkey, chicken and a few wee drams of a good single malt scotch is my secret. That and 1- 2 hours of physical activity every day
