I'm supposed to be going but $30 to get in? Are there cute naked girls dancing somewhere? Sheesh.....

Thanks for the heads up on entrance fee...I'll be stayin' put and buyin' local. Belvedere IL, Slinger along with Jefferson WI swap meets are a great time as well.

I'm with ya on that! I'm not even in that league, a 10k truck, 5k sled $1000 trailer, got my helmet and jacket on closeout, and my bibs off of ebay, and wasn't sweating the addmission at all.

Would like to go this year as there are a few vintage parts I need but can't swing it. Guess I'll have to hit swaps that are a little more vintage focused. Even that is no guarantee, I was pretty amused by the stuff that shows up at Princeton. Everything from fishing reels to chain saws, weed wackers, outboard motors, and even used smokers.

One thing that did occur to me is how many good deals there were on used, mid-late 90's Indys (XCRs, XLTs, Ultras) - Lots of triples to be had. Wondering if, considering the amount of trail riding I do and the quality of the grooming, I should sell my late model trail sled and buy a classic Indy. Wouldn't mind riding a triple again.

Power Rangers - good one.

I'll be there, late change of plans will be camping instead. Should be interesting. Will have my wad of dough ready to blow. Seems like I'm buying new gear head to toe every year. Well maybe it seems that way because I do haha. Hope all the vendors are fully stocked on axys parts.

Yea, $30 is way high when you realize that all the vendors get gouged as well right down to the guy with a couple hundo in swap parts....LOL....must be the experiance. Everyone needs to go at least once or twice.
I'd be there again if it wasn't a $600.00 weekend all said and done.

what do u think it cost to put on a event of that scale? permits insurance bonds cops from all surrounding towns multiple emt and transportation on site stipends for the guys who it is more or less yr round full time work marketing air time print media pay for the 15 clubs who work it year round grounds maintenance sanitation .I would bet far north of 150k before the first dime is collected.
fyi if your mn club has any sort of project u have been saving for or would just be nice to get a few bucks to do it. don't hesitate to submit a letter to the barrons u will prob get something

But guys will spend $100 sitting in the bar drinking telling stories. I am not saying you I am saying people in general. It costs money to run the event with insurance, logistics and all the other headaches associated with it. I love it and enjoy it so for that I go.

What happens to all that money?....MN is generally brown during the winter....LOL....I got way better use for my sled fund money than driving 350 miles one way....sitting in chicago type traffic and then being offered the priveledge to pay $30 a head to walk in and hopefully find some $25.00 swap part.....LOL....I can tool down south of the border sit in chicago traffic, have a $30.00 toll extorted out a me and do it in less than 1/2 a day!...and very little DUST!...LMFAO!

I got to agree on one thing though....anyone who complains about a trail pass fee who blew a large chunk a cash for a trip to the haydays experiance isn't worth a dime a sympathy.

Chicago deserves everything they get .
and snobuilder enjoy your trip to Chicago sounds like a blast .

Chicago is a great town, we just need to get rid of the politicians here. Snobuilder you'll be fine visiting, just watch yourself if you see roving thugs walking around they love to snatch cell phones or ask you for money before snatching your wallet out of your hand. If you need advice on where to go or what to see hit me with a private message.
