Just me. I suppose their is always the possibility of a couple more but I am not counting on anyone else.

We do have room for you for Cooke. Bet we could swing by and pick you up or at least very close to your house. I will message you tonight thru here with details.

My 15 rmk 800 155" le, 08 rmk 600 155" CFI, 15 summit free ride 800 154", 11 crossfire 600 141"x2.25" P.C. and 1 guy is renting a rmk 800 155" (2013 or 2014). The classic winter package includes the guides minus a tip.

And so it begins........lol!
One thing I can assure you Indy, you will never look at snowmobiling the same way, once you ride the steep-n-deep. Have fun and be safe!!

Awesome. In my uneducated opinion from just being out there a few times, you are doing it exactly the right way. It's a blast to go out with someone experienced that can take you to the terrain you want to see, give you tips on how to approach it, and most importantly make sure you can find your way back. I still like riding in the midwest as much as ever, but it's absolutely a different world out there.

Let me shed a little light on this topic for any of the mid-west guys looking to go out west for the first time.
Ive been riding for 26 years, 5 of those years was all off trail in the UP. The last 12 years have all been riding out west. I'm the one usually breaking trail and leading the group in the mountains. In the those 12 yrs there only ever been a couple guys that can keep up or take over leading when where off trail.
Now, I moved out west last winter and ride the deep/fresh days all the time. We got 20-30" of powder over the last 3 days and I rode with 5 local guys yesterday. They are all 45-60yrs old and flat out kicked my butt yesterday.

There will ALWAYS be guys that will make you look silly and 99% of them are not in sled videos or names you have heard of.

Couple key things to keep in mind. The altitude will kick your butt and that brand new 150hp 800cc sled will have just over 100hp at 10,000ft. One last thing.....All of these cross-over sleds on the market that do pretty good off trail in the UP are NOT mountain sleds, leave them at home or you will be digging them out all day long.

Have fun :) Once you make your first trip out west you will be hooked! Its a big learning curve but its the best riding you will ever do.

Srxsrule...where do you live "out west"??

Same town as you....Did I ride with you last saturday? I'm terrible at remembering names when I meet people. I was riding the orange Pro. Give me a call if you want to ride sometime. 515-231-1489

Nope, wasn't me last Saturday. I'm out of town for a couple weeks. Be back early December. I've lived in Victor for about 7 years. Have a pretty good group that I ride with regularly (2-3 times per week). I'll try to connect with you sometime this season. Feel free to call me also 847-922-6297

Steve will never go willey, he's all talk! ;) He should go to test his skills some as he's never ridden out west. He's a great rider for nearing 60! LOL

He'd do just fine. He should go if they have a spot left.

First week of January Steve. Avy gear needed!

Well obviously I couldn't keep up with a burandt kind of guy but I think it's safe to assume I wouldn't have a problem riding with anyone on here. I guess my point I tried getting across is I highly doubt I would be holding anyone back let's just leave it at that :)

You would be surprised, it was said earlier it is a humbling experience. You will be amazed at what you don't know and what you think you know. Total different ballgame out there.

He'd do great! He's an excellent rider and always talks about going west but never has. I hope he does.

no disrespect to Indy but he is a newbie and will hold back many people from this site and I mean many, it's just a fact. To prove my point I challenge Indy to ride with my crew here in the UP. I believe it would be a humbling experience.

At the same time he is well on his way to a life time of crazy fun. I hope he goes out west and has the best conditions. TEAR IT UP INDY!

I've only ridden with indy once and it was abbreviated due to my motor saying no more. He can ride, but the guides at togwotee will definitely humble him and teach at the same time. Nice thing he has is youth and time. Doesn't hurt to have the most capable mountain sled either between your legs.

Wait a minute. Steve would go and he doesn't take up much room at all. He just needs a nice couch and a cold beer at the end of the day.

Both of these things are negotiable too, btw, I bet he'd take a crappy couch and a warm beer.

Hey, I'm always up for a good time! Just let me know when. I'm staying in Houghton this weekend.
