Those numbers can't be correct. You got them from a "DOO PERSON" LOL!!! Now it is by no way a Production sled but the funnest sled I've ridden this year was a good bit over the 500# mark. It's like the old song "fat bottom women make the world go round"

is this like a xf nightfire edition? it looks like it could be, seeing as they have a retro edition like the ol' firecats

Also for those of you that are not familar with cats four strokes.... My wife rides a f6 and her sister rides a jaguar non-turbo and these sleds accelerate the exact same. The big bonus is the oil saving at 42 bucks a gallon the 4 stroke saves huge money over the course of ownership.

What kind of fuel mileage does the 4-stroke get, and the F6 to compare?

Curious to see the fit & finish of the '12 Cats and the engine compartment-how tightly packaged is it for access for maintenance.

Seriously think Cat should do demo rides similar to how Polaris has done theirs-real world riding, not just in a limited area.

I never cared for the styling of the Twin Spar chassis sleds, but the '12's have my attention.

How could anyone have the weights on these sleds yet?

Only been available to the public for less than 48 hours.

I have never really been worried too much about weight because there is a trade off for light...like in buckled tunnels, and jacked around suspensions.

Also a heavier sled rides better in the bumps.

And when you get them stuck....they are ALL too heavy!!!!!!!!!

I'm keeping my eye out for a nice light weight winch. Or a really really strong friend who can go riding every time I go.:D

It is clear to me that cat intends to use the turbo as much as possible and this year across all lines including the powder sleds. I couldn't figure out why Polaris didn't do that with their turbo....rather than just use it as asupplementt to their two line up.
Emissions
s are sinking 2 strokes all along, and when you see that...it just doesn't make sense to continue to try and re-invent the wheel all over again. 4's are doing it well and they improving each year...and going on diets too.

....

It seems to me over time and lots of different folks commenting, that the 4 stroke motors are all getting somewhere between 15 on up to over 20, no matter whether it is a twin, triple, or quad cylinder.

If you haven't tried a 4, it is definitely time to do it. Even without the turbo, they are very torky down low, and they don't need to wind out as much as the 2's do.

Awesome!

Holy Schmoley!

In MY opinion Those sleds look AWESOME.
I have always loved the strength and reliability of the Cat motors,...
But being the "size" I am,... I went to DOO for the "Fit".
NOW,... It looks like they made a sled even MY back (and arze) would
be Very Comfortable with.
Can't wait to check them out in person.
Thanks for sharing!

Here is the first review from Supertrax

Okay, we've been busting to tell you about the new Arctic Cat sleds for almost a month now and today the embargo is lifted and we can spill the beans.

We've ridden this sled rather extensively at two different sites (Minnesota & Montana) and our praise for the new chassis has been doubly confirmed. This is a breakthrough snowmobile.

The new F-series Cats are much lighter, more compact snowmobiles than Cat has produced since the days of the Firecat and the new sleds' hallmarks are twofold: Excellent ergonomics and most importantly, handling.

Frankly, there hasn't been a Cat that handles like this one since the days of the old sit-down ZR chassis and AC moves to the top of the handling heap in one fell swoop with this widely spaced double A-arm design.

This sled's neutral handling manners are better than any competitor and its knife-like ability to carve corners makes it a total blast to ride. This element has been sadly missing on Cats the past few years and now the fun-factor is back in spades!

The other big deal is the way the new 4-stroke Cat works. This is the first 4-stroke we've ridden that doesn't feel anything like a 4-stroke! Honest.

We can't believe how there's simply no handling compromise with last year's Z1 even-firing parallel twin under the hood. This is pure magic and finally, after almost ten years of 4-stroke sleds, somebody has finally managed to get it right.

More tomorrow...

You cant just say whatever you want, and when others call you out for it, always fall back on the old "Im just joking" defense.
