Cutler Benched - Yeah Great. Watch the Bears win some games...... Why Now? At least leaving him in I get to see him get crushed by the defense time and time again. For some reason it makes me feel a little better seeing. Watching games lately I just laugh. I think it is scaring my friends because I am usually so pissed off and yelling at the tv. But now its just a joke to me. Why do I care so much one has to ask lol.

Love the Bears Christmas Songs. Saw that guy on WGN. Good stuff. (Most copied from a Browns fan - they admitted)

Sure momoney trade cutler but the big if is where, to who, for what???

I have no idea for what...case of beer, draft picks, hotdogs who knows. there will be a GM that will take a chance, one that is on the verge of losing his job and has nothing to lose anyway. the teams mentioned above are rumored to be possible, quite a few who could use him and would be a upgrade. But your not gona cut him and take a 19.5 million $ cap hit next year. He may as well serve as a backup before you cut him.

The Cutler Saga will make NFL history...lol ...What not to do! I want Cutler traded too but don't expect much but anything is better than nothing. Benching Cutler way too late but better late than never. I know I'm interested in seeing what Clauson can do & how the O & D responds could be worse, could be better, could be about the same. If the team plays with renewed desire Cutler is as good as gone. No one can foresee the future but feels like a big shake up coming for the Bears at end of the season.

they are saying the main reason for benching him is to insure he is healthy. One for possible trade, two for if he did get injured I was reading that an additional 10 million would be gaurenteed for year 3 of his deal.

Dont expect much from clausson. The bears beat writer said the team is not pleased with the cutler benching. He said in all his years around pro sports he has never seen a locker room as bad as he seen today. Plus clauson hasnt played in 4 years and he had 2 practices leading into a game against a top 3 D. Good luck JIMMY!!!

Schefter said he would guess bears to get a mid round draft pick for cutler if they opt to trade him.

I don't expect much from Clauson either but Cutler really stunk on Monday & was worse with each outing & not unreasonable to bench him I would have benched him in Q4 & don't care what he does once the game is long lost. Did they activate Fales for the game to be #2? If so Cutler is done for this year & will trade him if they can.

Nope, trestman just spoke and said cutler will be the backup against lions. was intersting listening to his and cutlers interview. they both just got done.

no one has to worry about the bears winning anymore games and jeopardizing their draft status.

this team "checked out" mentally a month ago.

bottom line is I don't know anything about this GM.
how long he's been there?
his resume?
where he came from?
but when you give cutler the outrageous money he's making someone needs to be held accoutable. PERIOD! END OF STORY!

is it this same GM who put together this defense? this is another thing no one is talking about. it's all about jay. we'll let me tell you if this GM put this defense together on top of the cutler signing,,,, my lord he isn't qualified to run my 8 years old's daughter's soccer team.

his first year was marshalls first year. He made that trade. Everyones job is on the table now. Hes made sum big mistakes but then it goes back to phillips for hiring him. They need to get a footall guy in there cause phillps has struck out on GMs...at least gms that can find a QB. Emery has drafted sum good players and bad. But the trestman hire was his downfall. Passing on Arians when he wanted the job over the cardinal job was the nail in the coffin. See who gets the ax in a week and half.

Like they were sayin on espn radio, if emery wouldnt have signed cutler so fast he coulda waited a month and did a pay as you go type deal like dalton got.

Sounds like the most likely scenerio is emery and trestman r gone. And whoever becomes new GM will decide cutlers fate. Problem Is some of the good coordinators that are candidates will be in the playoffs, so may have to wait till thats over to make a hire. I highly doubt they foot the bill that its gona take to get harbough there. But maybe they will who knows.

It is very logical that Emery & Trestman both are fired & they do need a Harbaugh type coach. Halas family knows Harbaugh might do the same thing they did with Ditka & would be a good move but Harbaugh very expensive. Harbaugh would never tolerate Cutler so he would have to go.

Ok here is the deal for those that did not see the game. Clauson looked pretty darn good & O looked like they had a spark to execute Trestman's O & Forte palyed very well.. The D was spirited after Rialoa got flagged for stommping on Fergusons leg.....dirty as all heck!! Jeffry dropped soooo many balls I lost count so did Wilson. Looked lke Clauson gets the ball out a lot quicker than Cutler so timing was off with receivers. Last 2 min Clauson took a wicked Flaaged head hit that took his helmet off busted up his eye as well now has a concussion. Now Cutler gets the last start for Vikings Fales #2 QB crying shame we don't get to see more of Clauson. :(
