Randy Moss was another one & will be in the hall fame & now coaching. From all the bad press & his drop in the draft we may be lucky he played at all. lol NFL can do strange things to players just never know Andrew Luck is 1 of the few that exceeded all the hype & that rarely happens. To me momoney is too hung up on stats his way to evaluate doesn't see the intangables that make players great. To me Cam Newton with the right team could be real elite QB but the Panthers "Come on Man" see past your nose they stink.lol.

I am a fan of the eye ball test, but the numbers never lie. Its why I wanted to like jay cutler. the eye ball test says he makes incredibly difficult plays that not many others can make. when his mechanics are good and he sets his feet, its a picture perfect way to throw the ball, with a f-in rocket arm and a super tight spiral, its beautiful. his numbers were the best of his career. He just cant make the simplier plays consistantly. really frustrating, as i can only imagine what its like to coach someone like that. he's a real head scratcher. as he has fooled and duped many experts, coaches, and GM's. then his i dont care attitude to top it off. :(.

the first article talks about a team that played poorly offensively and defensively. it says nothing about dumbing down an offense. not sure why you sent that one.

the 2nd link I clicked the first article and it states they have changed the play calling, the verbiage to make play calls quicker to get the players to the line quicker. Note is says players' as in plural. says nothing about cam's abilities. Rivera says he is doing this to speed up the tempo of the plays.
That to me doesn't sound like a coach that is "dumbing" down his offense because if his qb's limitations.

Man your somethin else. Im done with this topic. After a 2 second search HUNDREDS of topics come up for ron rivera simplifing the offense.
Check youself before you wreck yourself budddddy.

Like I said. Ur something else. Cam newton is over rated and cant throw the ball from the pocket or read defenses. Bottom line. And ron rivera simplifying the offense isnt helping. Progressively worse ever year. Next topic.

how is he over rated?
2011 rookie of the year
2012 pro bowl
2014 pro bowl
google up how many nfl records he holds, you'd be amazed.
any Gm would die to have this guy for 15 years.
off the top of my head he probably accounts for 75% of carolina's offense since he joined them.
what am I missing that is overated?
i'm trying to argue logic with a guy who thought jay cutler was taking the bears to the super bowl three months ago...
good gawd.....

jeff george also had a f-ing rocket arm and super tight spiral that was beautiful to watch.

Cool man you think hes a top 8 qb. I dont. You know not everyone has the same opinions. Or else there wouldnt be much discussion. And alot of people thought jay cutler could lead the bears to big things. A few very respected people predicted him to be MVP. We all wiffed on that. Guess that means we have no business adding to the discussion becuase your opinion is always right.

Not to mention emery and trestman bet their careers on jay cutler. Both guys spent their life around qbs and the nfl. Not easy predicting the future in nfl. No one has all the answers. Even u timo, even u

Jimmy clauson is starting this week

Yeppers same thing I heard...I knew something was up when they moved Fales up Cutler may be done with Da Bears even Tretsman went public today with his disappointment with Jay's development. If Clauson does much better he might save Trestman's job if not Air Canada back to the great white north for the Trestman family. Clauson must of taken the 1st string reps today so leaked out. I'm thinking Trestman may have been forced to play Cutler due to the high cost but after Monday night's performance Bears Brass stuck looking at emlty seats & team on the verge of total collaspe FINALLY turned the QB page..... Good God Cutler STINKS!!!... so happy they are trying Clauson at QB!!:D

WOW!! ....you just made my DAY laughed so hard almost peed my pants!!! Clauson starting & Fales moved up sounds like the logical move cost wise is to just cut Jay right now. I know I would !!

Whitedust, thats the least likely thing to happen. Bears are to cheap. If they cut him, another team will pick him up and they will sign him for cheap probably. the 15.5M is gaurenteed for jay next year and the remaining amout the year after that. That means if the bears cut him and say the texans sign jay to a 1 year 5 million dollar deal, the bears would be on the hook for the other 10.5 million. Plus if they fire all the coaches those guys are still on the books as well next year. That would be 25 million down the drain. The mccaskeys dont seem to be like the redskins where money is no object. I think they end up trading him. Texans, titans, jets, bills could use him. Altho if clausen performs well, trestman and emery may keeo their jobs. But i do hope the lions win this week lol i have a bet with my packers friend that was before season started and if the lions win the division its a wash.

This Bears team and management is just embarrassing. They look like fools and can't get anything right. You couldn't pay me to attend a bears game now. Looking toward the future, there's very few options. Fire trestman, of course, but what coach wants to come to Chicago? Not many with this management team. Trade cutler, for whom? Where's your next QB coming from. There's no good options. This is going to me a long rebuild. The bears have been passed by the Lions and maybe even the vikes in talent, and don't even try to compare them to the packers. Prepare for a rough next 5 years at least.

QB only part of the problem. The D sucks so bad it doesn't even matter who QB is. Old slow and small.

Divisions Worst to first happens every year in the NFL. With the right decisions a rebuild is much shorter than 5 years. But wrong decisions and your the raiders or jags. The decisions made in the next few months will be huge for the direction of the bears in my opinion.

That definitely happens in the NFL, usually with injuries, retirement , bad luck etc.... im not sure if i have seen it with such a hyped team like the bears this year. I agree this is a vital time for the bears to right the ship. I just don't have faith in Emery, if he will still be employed, to make the right decisions. Hope I'm wrong. Also think the lions and pack will be good for next couple years.
Lots of reports out today about cutler. Some just think their keeping him out to keep him healthy for future with bears or trade. So if they trade cutler then what? Who's going to QB this team? Not a lot of options.

God only knows. not a lot of options is right. brian hoyer?.....QB roulette wheel time. if they draft someone first round please just dont be jamies winston. Anyone that does all the dumb things he has done, knowing he is in the spotlight and under the microscope, cant be handed keys to franchise. Just like johnny manziel. to much baggage, no self awareness and way to self entitled. NO THANK YOU
