Speaking of surgeries - Eric's going in next week to speak to the surgeon about his shoulder again. The cortizone shot did nothing for him. So I have a feeling there will be another shoulder surgery to report on JD......

HAPPY FRIDAY! I am having the best end of the week! Jim and the boys are home from their road trip - they had a blast! We are having a great family weekend... prepping the kids for school to start. Today will be a day of shopping for school clothes and school supplies.

I hope EVEYRONE has a great weekend!!!

I DID IT! I passed my FINAL!!! When I got to class Tuesday night I was made aware of an miscommunication... I had to take the two UNIT TESTS FIRST! So I took both of them Tuesday night... but ran out of time for the final. SO the professor said I could come back Wednesday and take the final.

I PASSED! I got 100% on my final!!! That should give me an A for the cass and keep my 4.0 in tact!!!

I do have to take the Math class again to complete the third section. That section is a requirement for me to take the next level class which is the stats class. I heard it's NOT the same as taking stats at the HS ball games and sales stats! DOH!

I also found out there is NO BREAK between this class and the next. Next class starts Tuesday! It's Management 303... People manager strategies. That should be fun.

Ohhh and one more thing... I got a call Wednesday from a contract company. They want to submit me for a really great job. He said I'm PERFECT for it. So, I talked to him at length on Thursday and we tweeked my resume and he submitted it. Hopefully I hear something from him next week. It would be a contract for 6 months and then a POSSIBLE permanent hire. GOD WILLING! Prayers!!!

Gotta go SHOPPING!

Scoop - hope all goes well. I know the feeling, tore my meniscus a few years back on a trampoline (I blame the alcohol)but never got it repaired. It's gone out a few times and put me out of commision for a few days but has gotten better.

Not much new here.

If anyone is looking or knows anyone in need of a dog kennel, I have one for sale. I posted it in the jd miscellaneous section. It is the Lucky Dog welded wire kennel.

Heading to the state fair on Sunday. Tia is doing the 5K Milk Run early before the fair and then it's chow time, I mean fair time. Should be great weather to take it all in.

<font color="0000ff">Quiet Today. Everyone must be mourning the Last Day of August. I do have to say, for where I am located, this has sure been a VERY odd summer. Guess I can't complain. Not many Hot and Humid days. But not many Warm days either. Just FLEW by.</font>

<font color="0000ff">Wow, . . . . . Forget about how fast summer rolled by, . . . . . How about LIFE? ? ? ? ?</font>

<font color="0000ff">Geeezsh! Being the anal one I am, I decided "not-so" long ago, to video-tape the SAME scene of the "First Day Of School". The Bus pulling up, and our daughter walking up, into, and on the steps, . . . . Turning around and waiving goodbye. The doors close, and a shot of the bus driving away, . . . . From Kindergarden all the way through her Senior year. Thought it would be cool to "See her grown up on tape" (13years in 10 minutes). WOW! I ran the tape back just a couple of years, and Man, the changes. Me and the Mrs. Got all choked up.</font>

<font color="0000ff">Just puts things in a little more perspective. LIFE goes by WAY TO FAST. We all have to sit back and soak a little more of it in. In a "blink of an eye" it sure does change.</font>

Well BV, guess we need to start plannin a sleddin trip or 2 for this winter, afor ya know it summer will be back, does seem to go by in a blink anymore. 3 months and the trails open Happy Sept. peeps, huntin offically starts today with early goose season here and thats what I will be doin after work (shoulder be damned).

Today is the Back to School orientations for the kids. Dylan's school does their pictures today as well... so he needs to get all spiffy befor we go over there. Both of them will have an opportunity to get their desks and lockers in order with all their supplies. SCHOOL IS EXPENSIVE!

It's such a beautiful morning! The sun is shining, the temps are PERFECT! I've got all my windows open, letting in all that fresh air... AAAAAACHEW! It's allergy time.

Another beautiful day on tap today and it is supposed to be nice here through Labor Day. How awesome. I just wish I had the foresight to take a couple of vacation days and enjoy the weather instead of being stuck inside.

Well, it is official. I will be having knee surgery on Sept. 9 to reconstruct my ACL and hopefully repair my meniscus. I am not looking forward to it. I am not supposed to drive for three weeks which means I will completely lose my mind. I can't imagine not being able to hop in the truck and go when I need something. We'll see if I last the three weeks. We'll see how the knee feels and works.

BigVin - Ahhh, time flys, doesn't it? Wow, she is a teenager already! I have to agree with Dave, she is getting close to the age where it will not be cool to ride the bus, even though I still did throughout high school. Neither me nor my friends could afford a car (plus our parents didn't want us to have a car).

Julie - Have fun getting the boys back to school.

I have to get back to work. I am going to try and get as much done before I have the week off after my surgery. Later...

Wow what an awesome evening, sitting on the patio, drinking a cold beer, on the laptop. Very nice!

My daughter started her freshman year yesterday, dang, where did the time go? Her first words today after school, sophomores-seniors started today, were " holy crap everyone is so tall!" "I just about got run over today" LOL. She is 4'11" and I don't know if she is goin to get much taller. She keeps trying to blame me. LOL. Man how times flys. Pretty soon she will be off to college.

Big long weekend coming up, and the weather is going to be great, looks like there will be some waterskipping being done on Sunday, hope I don't sink it! But if I do, it will be ok, I have to commence to the project of putting the new tunnel/bulkhead on my sled anyways. The RMK will look a little different this coming winter.

Hang in there Scoop, it is for the better, maybe they can turn you into the Bionic woman?
