Canoe - you were right - colors were wonderful in Cable and again this past weekend in Longville! Here's a couple pics from last weekend - Ali and Scott let us use their cabin for a couple of days! (Their neighbor delivers and shows fire trucks - so he took us up in the bucket!)

Andrea, nice pictures. I just love those shots where the road tunnels through overhanging trees in full color. Those shots are nice with the trees loaded with snow too. Good job. So, how was the bucket ride? A little shaky?

Big Vin - Good luck on the rest of your classes and testing! Sounds like quite the ordeal. At least you got the job first. Since you're working so hard on that job and training, I'll cut you some slack on getting out a new CD. But, at some point down the road....there just gots to be a Big Vin style Folsom Prison CD. Let us know how you did with the pepper spray. Somehow I'm thinking by time you get to the instructor, you'll be tempted to rip his head off instead of just taking him down and handcuffing him. LOL

I'm taking a breather at work. It has been really busy here lately. On top of it, I have had a nasty cold all week which is going through its various stages. Right now my sinuses are killing me and I cough up a lung every once in a while (which really makes my head hurt). I really hate colds!

Serena - Congrats on the news you are going to be a Grandma!

Jeff - nice find with the sled.

BigVin - Nice to hear from you Big Bro! Good luck with the rest of your training. Ugh! Pepper spray! That's does NOT sound fun!

Andie - Cool pics! We'll see with the whole selling the sled thing. I told Guy that I may show up at the Ride-in even if I don't have a sled just so I can party with you guys. Maybe I will win the lottery before then and I won't have to sell (Ha! Ha!). I can dream, can't I?

Man time is flying by, hope I get everything done before it snow's, I'm still waiting on a few parts for my sled (clutch spring, front skid shock seal, and my seat) but its coming together, Kelly's is getting there too got her new edge tank mounted and her old carbs off and her new set of racked carbs almost ready to go on, still waiting on her fuel pump and seat here are a few pic's

Been gone for awhile,... but check in when I can.
I am only 1/2 way through my required State Certified Recruit Training School.
(Mandatory to keep my job),...
Lots of Homework, work sheets, report writing, and VERY LATE NIGHTS Studying.
Not to mention all that mixed with combat procedures (learning how to legally take
inmates down in fighting situations),....
It really has beat the Crap out of me.
Mentally and Physically,.... I am Drained.
Outta shape and Old come to mind.
I have to succeed,....Because,.. if you don't pass,.... the Job is Gone!
So,....
I just gotta hang in there for 2 more weeks!
Monday,.. I get a direct HUGE dose of Pepper Spray to the face (eyes must be open),...
then I have to complete an obstacle course,.. take down an inmate (instructor in a padded suit),.... handcuff,.... and other stuff,...while my face and eyes are on fire.
Oh what fun,....NOT!
THEN,.... take 2 big tests (written),... always something.
Somehow,..... that old D.J. Job seemed so sweet! LOL!,....
Well,.... back to studying,....

Thanks for the encouragement.
This is a tough time,... sorry I have not responded earlier.
Just got home.
I sure ain't used to this studying and tests daily and
the physical end is pushing me to the brink.
I wish absolutely NO ONE on here EVER has to be sprayed in the
face with that stuff.
Just like getting your face ground off with a brissle grinder and your
eyes exposed to battery acid.
Most pain I have Ever experienced,.... I would take numerous
Tazer hits anyday compared to that experience.
SO,.... if you ever find yourself in a situation where an Officer
yells STOP or I'll Spray,.... I would reccommed it would be in your
best intrest to comply

Must study for more tests on Monday,....
So far,... so good.

What a great day yesterday weather was perfect but just a little too warm, there was some good deals to be had at the show, picked up a new pair of boots for me, Kelly got a new pink bag, and we dug through the stuff at the swap meet a got a couple things.

This warm weather crap can GO ANYTIME! I want my sunshine chilly fall days so I can crunch through the leaves...

So, incase I haven't said it before - Statistics sucks GIANT chicken butt. I hate this class, I hate this class, I hate this class! We are in week six... two weeks left... So far I'm pulling an A, but I have 2 labs and a quiz that haven't been graded yet... if I don't do well on those, I won't keep my A.

I'm beating my head on my desk... I know I will never EVER use this crap... never. What is the probability that I will use this in the future... 0%. So I don't care about the mean, median and mode, I don't care about the standard deviation and I certainly don't care about the z-score...

Well I spent most of the weekend on the bike. Broke the 12,000 for the year yesterday on the way home. Did the tunnel of trees (M119) down to Travers City and spent the night at Jodi’s. Then went up 31 yesterday and back home via back roads. C48 was great and man o man was it fun. Next it the Grass Drags at Kaboom’s… Who all is going to make it?

Big Bro Vinnie - how the rest of your testing go? Been thinking about ya - hoping all went GREAT!

I'm on the final week of my Stats class. I have to take the Week 7 quiz today and then I start study time for the final exam which is on the 23rd from 10 am to 2 pm. I will be so happy when close my computer on this class. It has been by far the hardest class yet. I'm getting a 97% based on what the prof has graded. There are two labs he hasn't graded yet and if I tanked those, then bye bye 97%! Would be nice if he would grade them so I could see what 'wiggle' room I have for the final.

Other than that, things are crazy busy at work. I'm loving it. My contrat ends November 30th. I hope to find out in the next couple of weeks if they plan to keep me or not. I love love LOVE the work and want to stay. I've told them that - repeatedly...

Jim is on a 3 week construction job. Hopefully all goes well and they actually work the entire three weeks. The last job he was on they had him working MAYBE 1 or 2 days a week. The didn't dispatch until 5 AM so he couldn't make plans for the day with any other jobs until he heard from them.

We are all chomping at the bit for snow. We need a lot of snow here - so we can ride a lot at home. We have two snowmo trips planned, one to Burgess Junction WY and the other to the Ride In - I'm thinking positive that we will have the money to make both trips. POSITIVE THINKING, planning for my future...

Hope y'all are having the same beautiful weather we are. Can't wait to get back out in it and buzz around. I'm taking Dyland to the MOA for the Lego Land Mural Building Event. He is GEEKED. Me and Dustin are gonna wander the mall while Dylan creates. I have a feeling we will be hitting Cinnabon!

Hope everyone had a great week, it was busy on our end, tons of calls at the F.D. + O.T. at work and a new born= no sleeep for this guy but im loving every second of it.
hang in there julie, im sure you will do just fine in your class, hopefully things work out well for you riding this year. I think i will be going to the ride in as well, never been before. should know by the first of the year.
Sounds like hastings was good bzoo, we went to bobs arctic cat open house, sam got a pink arctic cat hat shes been wanting, i just got some APV oil, first time buying that, wow, even at 20% off its pricey!!!! Looking forward to snow show in novi, always a good time, .
summer is officially done, dad and I pulled the boat and dock today while the girls passed the baby around!! Few more things to do around the house and i can focus more time on prepping sleds.

Well my sled is done except the seat finally got the front skid shock back from the dealer they crushed the end of it taking it apart so what started as a simple service ended up costing 120.00, started it up on Sat evening boy I can't wait, Kelly's sled is on the lift and hopefully it will be done this week.
