Congratulations on graduating BigVin! You must be glad that's over!

Well, I sold my motorcycle which gave me a tiny bit of cash in the bank. It wasn't worth a ton of money, but at least I got rid of the small loan I had on it and some money in the bank. I am a little sad about selling the bike, especially since I was getting much more comfortable riding it. However, the good news about selling the bike (which I didn't expect this late in the fall) is that it may make it possible to keep my sled for another winter. Hopefully it will snow a bunch this year I will ride it enough to make it worthwhile to keep. Soooo, I guess this means that I will probably be able to make the Ride-in.

Now the next thing I have to concentrate on is getting my roof replaced because of hail damage sustained in July. It is starting to be a real pain in the butt between the roofer, the insurance company and the mortgage company. The paperwork and running here and there, mostly because the mortgage company has to sign off on the check from the insurance company, is driving me crazy. It would have been nice if someone would have pointed out the fact the mortagage company is involved, too, and that they will set up an escrow account for the funds. I still don't know all the details until I have all the paperwork put together. Then again, I guess I should have been more observant before I tried to cash the check. I should have noticed both my name and the mortgate company was on it.

I guess I should get back to work. Later....

Congrats Big Vin, and thanks for the update. I've been wondering what happened and if you survived the pepper spray. Must be quite a relief after all that work.

Scoop - glad you're able to hang on to the sled for another year of riding. Good luck with the roofing job.

Not much new, just enjoying some nice fall days when I can get a little time outside. We visited our son, wife and granddaughter in Milwaukee this weekend. It's always such a fun time out there with them. That little sweetheart is 18 mo old, and learned how to say "grandpa" this weekend. Talk about bringing a smile to my face. She got lots of hugs too. We hated leaving on Sunday.

Have a good week all.

OMG that final was very VERY traumatic... but I got it done.

Got the grade this morning... 218/250 so 87% which was enough for me to keep my A for the class (ended up with a 94% over all) and therefore keeping my 4.0!!!!! Thank GOD!

I am so glad that class is done and since I got an A in it, I never EVER have to take another Stats class - even if I go for my MBA. Kewl.

Good luck Nate on your tests... I hate tests...

Brad - I hope all those mods you did don't hurt my Kelly!

No these mods are to keep her from hurting, she now has a nice smooth easy throttle pull so now her thumb, hand and arm won't hurt anymore

Friggin YAHOOO Scoop! You will ride again! You’re going to have to plan a trip to Paulding. Its only 200 miles for ya. We should get Big5in on it too.

Well the grass drags was a blast. Much fun and yes, Scott broke down. LOL… Guy’s thunderpussy was not sounding good. Guess Kaboolie will have to go help him fix it. Lol Other than that, it was a blast. I think next year will be even bigger. Great food and great fun. If you want to see pic’s go to my, Kaboolie, Scott’s FaceBook page.

Sorry ya could not make it up Jules. At least your getting a 4.0….

Brad, so nice of you to make Kelly's ride pain free!! Wanna come fix mine too!? My thumb and arm hurt a lot - espeically since I broke it!!

Squatty - I sure wish I could have been there too, but the test was scheduled on the same darn day - stupid test scheduler!

The 4.0 is UBER important to me... I am spending $2340 per class (on student loans) looking at about 70,000 in student loans to pay off after I graduate... I damn well better be getting a 4.0 for that kind of money. Somethings just have to take priority even when I don't want them to.

So, yes - bigger and better next year...

Ahhh, the day is almost over. Wow, the winds are really strong out there! It almost sounds like the roof at work is going to blow off at times.

It sounds like the grass drags were fun. It would have been nice to be there, but I have had work stuff to do every Saturday (and an occasional Sunday) which will end in about a week.

Bradzoo - Hulbert on President's weekend may be a trip to make again. It was fun last year, even if my truck did burn a ton of oil going there and back. For New Year's I think I will be going to Munising. I usually make my annual New Year's trip to visit friends up there which I would probably do even if I wasn't keeping my sled.

Julie - congratulations on keeping your A average! Nice job! Ouch on the student loans, though. As for the Ride-in, I am planning to be there. I will see about what to do about a place to stay once it gets closer to the date.

Squat - Hmmmm, Paulding could be a trip to make, too. So many choices! I just hope that it snows like crazy this winter. Maybe I will even ride locally if that happens.

Well, time to go home. Hopefully I won't blow away!

Yo, Sista Scoop!
Your sled does NOT take up much room in that big 2 car garage,...
and besides,.... You'll never get what you really want for it,... AND,....
You'd be kicking yourself if ya sold it.
Only 2 or 3 rides a year STILL beats not having a sled and wishing you did!
Once they're paid off,.... all it costs is the price of a trip. :)
(probably not convincing,... but advice from the big bro none the less)
:)

Juls: Proud of your accomplishments sista! I HATE studying and taking tests,... so I am
very proud of your grades and the hard work you put in. IT WILL PAY OFF.

If my schedule plays out like it has been, I will probably get a LOT of LOCAL riding in this winter if Mother Nature and John's forecast pans out. Especially with the new trail-head only 300 yards from my front porch! Middle of the week riding will probably be better anyway,.... less sleds, AND I can pitter-patter around, looking at the sites. Can't wait to get the "Alpine" out and chugging about! These old bones don't feel the need for speed much anymore,.... power is nice,... but COMFORT is priority. LOL! I feel as old as grandpa Simpson Looks!

Was in the middle of trying to finish up a song with a friend from Nashville (via the internet) and just can't come up with a melody for her verses,... so I stopped by here and starting reading threads. Man, this is a great site John has here! The winds outside are unbelievable! Man! (I hate wind anyway).
Yesterday,
I was pulling out of the drive to pick up the youngin' from school,... and did a "double-take".
Her trampoline (which I put new rope and more anchors on because of the forecast of wind), was sitting in the neighbors fenced in pasture! WHAT? Holy crap batman!
It LAUNCHED itself like a UFO and somehow (thank GOD) did not damage their fence, but the unit was heavily damaged. So,... as soon as I got back home,... What took me a day and a half to assemble a couple of years ago,... only took 30 minutes to quickly tear apart and put in a box for the dump!
I can not believe my trees are still standing through all of this wind!
Gloomy. Hoping for a VERY SNOWY winter.
I wouldn't mind coming home from work at 5:30am and spending 3 hours snow-blowing! Not at all! Can't wait.

Well,... tummy is growling. Must feed it!

Have a Fantastic rest of your week my friends!

:)

Well, I didn't blow away with the winds we had the past couple of days. I am so tired of high winds. They are scheduled to do my roof on Monday. I'm so glad they didn't do it right before the wind storm. It would have made me nervous that it would have been damaged again.

BigVin - Selling the sled would be VERY hard. The motorcycle was a bit hard to sell, but selling the sled would be 100 times worse. The trailhead for the trails by you are only 300 yards from your house? Sweet! If it snows this winter, you must give me a call when you think you might go for a ride. I need to start riding more locally since money will still be very tight for me.

Actually, I am thinking about going to the meeting for one of the clubs near my house. I need to find somewhere to ride closer to home (and people to ride with) so I can ride more. Then again, to do this will require snow. We'll see what happens.

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!!! Happy HAPPY HAPPY!!! :D

Doing the SNOOOPY HAPPY DANCE!

I GOT EXTENDED! YEEEEEEEEHAW! My contract has been extended to Feb 28, 2011!!! So, part 1 (get back into Best Buy) and part 2 (get extended) done - NOW I have to get hired PERMANENT!

The bosses said I'm going a great job, they are very pleased with my work, my work ethic and my GIT 'R DONE attitude.

Was also very happy to hear that the folks I will continue to work with are happy that I'm staying. :) :) :)

Jim has been in White Lake SD for 23 days now. :( We miss him A LOT! Don't like him being gone but know it's for the best. He's working his arse off - 7 days a week, sun up to sun down... so the money (when he finally gets it) will be GOOD. Just have to be patient... yeah, I know... I'm not good at being patient.

My hope meter to be at the RIDE IN for the dates we have planned has gone way up with my extension! I'm just down right GIDDY!
