I am with the others the floats are not great I would rather have some non floats with a set of ty springs.
the post is about 30min to install under 200 bucks.
the sno pro alt gauge is ok if u calibrate now and then.
I just look at it for grins just to know.
the LTD is the one to get if u can find best color stock goggle warmer /tunnel bag/and imho best paint color from cat

ezra, your eyes look a little squinty

The adjustable post is sweet Lenny, but if I was to do it over again, I think I would save the 1000 or so bucks extra for the SnoPro and do like John suggested. The fox floats are just this side of worthless in my opinion.

Can you add the adjustable riser to a xfire also?

well we know it will still be running strong long after the pro he wanted is blown up and parted out and case melted down for scrap

Why so negative all the time? You just keep bombing on the Pro! I don't see anyone on here jamming on crappy Cat clutches, diamond drive explosions, suspension rail issues or sloppy steering posts? Just saying!

cooksend,

It has to hurt when your once proud M was the toast of the mountains, and now you are number 3 in that segment, so what do you do, you bash the best. Even ezra won't buy a new one. I wonder how many Polaris guys are out there looking for new leftover RMK's pre Pro introduction? LMAO!!

Drowning in my own tears of laughter!

Really though if you expect the most out of any of these sleds they are all gonna need some sort of fix to hold up to the abuse! Motors, drivetrain and suspension just take some serious pounding!

what it comes down to for most people is have a capable sled, a reliable sled, and a cost effective sled. Poo has 2 of those 3 and that's good. If I get a left over M for 7300 I get all 3.

Pat speaks the truth when he said the rider is the biggest part of the equation. Does the sled compliment the rider or the rider compliment the sled, I believe the first is correct and a M is still a good capable sled with a reliable strong motor. D drives are known to go blewy so best be inspecting that thing and keeping clean oil in it. Not nearly as bad as wondering if your motor is gonna go 100 or 1500 miles. Not sure how this is called "poo envy" but must admit it's a witty comeback when the truth don't cut it.

A known fact is: Poo has the weakest and least reliable motor out of any sled maker. They also have the best chassis but I have learned many years ago that having the best makes you feel good but doesn't mean you'll be the best rider. There are guys out there riding Yamaha Mtn sleds in the woods that will destroy any of us and that defies logic.

For me, I'd rather sacrifice the best chassis for an all around capable sled, d drive vrs poo 800 motor is a no brainer for me and that my fuzzy little friends is not poo envy, as Mr Spock say's ""it's logical." Wait, he always say's it was ill-logical or did he say "warning warning Dr Smith" dang, now I'm all messed up

I skipped the 06 Fusion era and the 08-10 era. The 2012 works well and not a reason not to buy. Plenty enough HP and does the trick, no issue running with Doos 800R or cats. Not sure why the commotion. Less guys on Pros the better I look on mine!

I dont have my cheerleader outfit on waving my pom poms I have been bitching about those things for yrs.no head in the sand for mr I am sure lennys old trippel will outlast my ride also.
lennys triple is hands down the most reliable 2s ever made.the rest of the sled we could pick apart for yrs.
and if u cant rip on your cohorts rides what fun is that.way more fun than having a snowest circle jerk about whos pro is best. I would be nervious buying a used on from most on that thread or pr1 deff would be doing a black light test on the seat.

My brothers 08 M8 now has a little over 4500 miles on it, no dd exploding, no bolts/nuts loose on the rear suspension, no motor issues, Sea and Snow oil ONLY, just the bulkhead crack at the stearing post, that is it. Gas and go, the M is an awesome sled, no doubt about it!

yeap I had great luck with my 08....the only big difference between the 8 and 11 id the tunnel upgrade and you can do that yourself then add new track and that thing is AWSOME SELD.....I never had an issue with my bulkhead stearing deal but I kept good eye on it and tryed keep post tight......they have a neck peice at Black Dimond that will fix that also.....
