Stand-up riding

Standing is a lot easier on bumpy straightaways or off trail.

I was going to leave this alone but here I go. I'm 47 soon to be 48 I work with my back instead of the ole brain about the only thing that does'nt give me problems are my legs. So yes I will stand thru all the whoops I stand at almost every stop sign I feel I can see much better up over the snowbanks that are almost always there. Sometimes I stand for no reason whatsoever. I think with the evolution of the style of sleds standing is a option that was not available before. As a back up sled I have a 90s AC that I have tried to stand up on and it was scary. Just saying the new sleds you feel very comfortable standing on. So for me I will continue to stand thru the whoops and whenever I feel like it my back will thank me. And until you try it don't knock it.

@ 54 I was stand-up ridin before stand-up ridin was cool, ....your legs WERE the suspension and the trails were wherever we could ride without getting busted....
Back then kneeling on the seat was another ride position ppl used, but that style has pretty much all but vanished. I tryed to bring it back a few times over the past 5 years but it isn't catching on.....

Now that I have a stand up designed sled , the susp. is so cushy that I sit more than I used to.

I am overweight and I undrstand that seeing me stand-up ride might tick you off and I appoligize for the rage I may have caused some or all of you who have seen me.

hey now, 8000 miles out of my 500, and my 700's weren't a polaris' thing. studs are woody's and track is camoplast, no polaris involved

Scott, Skylar is talking about something else. If he keeps it up with his one word, one liners he may catch you on posts! lol. Skylar thinks I should just give you the switchy. But by your track record.......... I think NOT!

I made the mistake of reading this post Friday at work before heading north for the weekend. Rode for 2 days and was self concious (sp?) each time I stood up when I was riding.

a BIG THANKS to everyone who posted. LOL!
