720 great miles on a new 900R. From Canadian border to central Mn to metro lake riding, was surprised at the amount of riding I did despite what I and many would call a very lack luster snow year. Lady has sung, maybe some nuisance snow but will start cleaning her up for storage. Long term temp trends on COD website keeps pushing alot of warm air in.

If I may ask, what kind of MPG's do you experience with your Poo 900R? Better, or worse than Poo 850 non boost?

100 fun miles!! Wish it was more, but trips that I was to go on never worked out. I live in Northern IL. on the Chain O Lakes. I had not gone out on the ice all year even though the ice is right around a foot thick. I'm also in a club from Richmond IL., That I have been in for over 40yrs. Our trails were open for 1 day. So Friday, I let my son get out of school early and we went out on the lakes. We did around 40 miles. I have two older sleds that look and run like new. A 2006 apex Attack and a 98 SRX 600. Apex turned 7000miles and SRX turned 7300miles. So with the warm weather I asked my son who is a high school senior, if he wanted to go out early Monday before the lakes turned to crap. We did, I let him stay home and we were on the lakes at 6:45am yesterday. It was good, we stopped at around 10:30am. We got some crazy looks from some of the guys ice fishing ,but I think they understood. Anyway 100miles and lots of smiles. I had been thinking about hanging the sport up, but yesterday gave me the boost I needed. I have to say that the chain this year had some of the biggest ice heaves I have ever seen since living and riding the chain when it permits. This is great sport, like everything else is getting expensive. The old bones aren't what they use to be ,But yesterday I felt like a kid again. I think that is the beauty of it. Still hope to get up North if things hold up. Jake :)

Okay, thanks. So I will now ask you what do you see for MPG's on your Doo 900R?
Dash says 14.3 mpg, have never watched or calculated at a gas pump. It is a bit better than my viper was, and I am not riding her easy. Mostly stay in normal mode, but if I want to really hear the wastegate blowoff, I switch to sport mode. Pulls like an absolute freight train to 100.

Okay, finally updating, went U.P. monday the 17th with a buddy, stayed just south of Mass City, snow was Great!
100 miles Monday up to the bridge and back.
205 miles Tuesday, up to Onthetabbogan for breakfast at Syl's (always good!) around to White Pine down through
Bergland then Watersmeet up by Bond Falls back north to Krupp's for a pasty for supper.
233 miles Wednesday to Copper Harbor and back, was disappointed to find Bear Belly's had closed! (obviously hadn't been for a while)
damn pandemic!
Short day Thursday, 110 miles, Bruce Crossing for breakfast at Char's, also never disappoints. then east to Sidnaw and up to Sturgeon River Overlook.
rode a couple loop trails out that way, then headed for home.
So, 648 total, probably be the total for the year, better than zero like the last two years!!

I have done 1183

Three trips to Cadillac and one to St Germain.

I did get to have three trips with a bit more meaning this year. The first one was to Cadillac; my oldest son now has my 2015 ZR9000, and he came with three of my friends. Since his younger brother was not there, it changed the dynamic for him. He fit in as one of the guys, not one of the kids. Honestly, I like taking each of the boys on their own trips for some 1 on 1 time. They are both at that age where when together, they still bicker, and I have to referee... But give them some space and it's so different. We even stayed out the last night, riding longer, just him and I! We had a great time!

My one uncle told me he wanted to try snowmobiling. So I told him I'd set up a trip. Ended up bringing his son and his daughter's husband. We had a great time, and I was able to save them rentals by letting them use the boys' sleds and the one extra I have...

Oh, on our last night in Caddlic, I asked my cousins if they wanted to go for one last short ride before packing everything up. My uncle stayed back at the cabin, and we went out for a quick 25-mile loop. In doing this, we were very close to the cabin when I asked them if they were ready to go back or ride a bit longer... They want to stay out a little more... Well, we did for another 1.5 to 2 hrs less then 1/8 of a mile from the cabin, but that was spent digging out two MSP officers, where they went off the trail in their Tahoe. They were only on the trail for about 200 yards and only there because someone else was stuck farther down the trail they were trying to help. We did get them out with the help of another local that happened to be taking a short cut home. At least he had a truck that was equipped correctly... I gave the officers one of my old fire department patches, and they ended up sending my cousins and I some challenge coins!

Then the trip to St Germain was one I have been trying to do since last year with two very good friends of mine. The one came up from Corpus Christi, TX. I tried to pack years of things to do and see into a 5 day trip (3 riding days, 2 travel days)
On the first day out, we rode 100 miles around St Germain, Egale River Conover etc. Then we did the long day, 280 miles from St Germain to Lake of the Clouds and back. The third day, we rode the woods between St Germain Sayner and Arbovite and somehow put on 75 miles. We manage to see both snowmobile museums as well as all the great sites on the rides! We also had some great meals!

Hopefully, I have another 1 or 2 trips left! I really like to take my youngest son on one and then both boys would be great!
