maybe its just me, but every one of your posts said if gz didn't this or that, you didn't say if tm didn't this or that, i guess its all in the perspective of how you see things

There was one event that started this. Certainly there were multiple decisions made by both people but one, and only one, event started it. Zimmerman getting out of the car. Sure, Martin could have chosen another course, by all means, yes.

But the start of all of this is Zimmerman getting out of the car with a loaded weapon chasing Martin. Stupid.

Meet Antonio West.

You won't recognize me. My name was Antonio West and I was the 13-month old child who was shot at point blank range by two teens who were at...tempting to rob my mother, who was also shot. A Grand Jury of my mommy's peers from Brunswick GA determined the teens who murdered me will not face the death penalty...too bad I was given a death sentence for being innocent and defenseless.

My family made the mistake of being white in a 73% non-white neighborhood, but my murder was not ruled a Hate Crime. Nor did President Obama take so much as a single moment to acknowledge my murder.

I am one of the youngest murder victims in our great Nation's history, but the media doesn't care to cover the story of my tragic demise, President Obama has no children who could possibly look like me - so he doesn't care and the media doesn't care because my story is not interesting enough to bring them ratings so they can sell commercial time slots.

There is not a white equivalent of Al Sharpton because if there was he would be declared racist, so there is no one rushing to Brunswick GA to demand justice for me. There is no White Panther party to put a bounty on the lives of those who murdered me. I have no voice, I have no representation and unlike those who shot me in the face while I sat innocently in my stroller - I no longer have my life.

So while you are seeking justice for Treyvon, please remember to seek justice for me too. Tell your friends about me, tell you families, get tee shirts with my face on them and make the world pay attention, just like you did for Treyvon.

I'm by no means choosing sides here. It is my honest belief that the whole thing is a tragedy that all involved would reverse if they had the power to. My honest question, without pointing any fingers is: Why did TM not use his cell phone to call 911 if he felt he was in danger? It is clear he had one and I believe he even was talking to a friend when he started to become aware of GZ following him. I know if it were me, THAT is the first thing I would have done.

I suppose we will never know the answer to that, but seems like one of the many mistakes made by both parties in this tragic event.

G.Z. carried for many years all the time other the at work. So to say or make it sound as he retrieved his gun to go after T.M. is wrong.
I carry, one in the chamber and my carry guns have no safety. many carry guns do not have safety's. I have seen many people talk about one should carry without having a round chambered. If you go through self defense class you will be tough to have a round chambered. you will also be tough to shoot for a kill, Most teach two to chest one to head. You will never be tough to scar or shoot to wound. It is more likely if you ever need to use your gun you will not have time to chamber a round before you need it.

As in any physical altercation bad decisions were made on both sides with tragic results. Both GZ & TM should have handled the event differently which could have altered the outcome to a peaceful solution. To me both parties stood their ground & faced off but GZ had the gun & used it. If TM had continued to beat GZ until he was unconscious maybe TM would have been charged with murder 2. Both of them are dumbasses IMO.

There's no comments or new stories about these kind of crimes because it's OK for a person of color to be a racist piece of shiot but no one else..... These stories never get any attention.....not even here, many responses after but no comment..

Very good post! Does anyone really think the media reports things fairly? This story should have received 10 times the outrage but most people have never even heard about it. This didn't fit their narrative.

maybe sarcasm isnt the correct word. what do you call it when you hide your disgust and anger about a situation in an expertly worded article such as that and still get your point across?
why arent the poverty pimps jackson and not so sharpton talking about this?

Why do you think they aren't talking about it? Because of the race that's doing the killing and the race that was killed.
