Old Abe and garage guy I will have to disagree to a certain extent when it comes to the plowing part. Plowing has been like this for decades up here with an occasional change of you did get a driver that cared but then they move on and back to plowing down to dirt. So it is more of a personality thing with the drivers if they care about their community and what drives it or not. We actually have a local bar 1/4 from trail that goes past a county plow drivers house he will plow and leave nothing for the sled to get to bar which pisses off owner but then goes to that bar I it is no big deal. Bar owner is way better than me he wouldn’t be allowed in. But he has been dealing with this sense snowmobile trails were invented.
I agree Jim it’s been going on since moby dick was a minnow but I thought worth a try with a bottle of crown royal in hand. Plow guy took the crown royal and gave me an honest answer which I didn’t want to hear but he had his priorities. 🤷‍♂️

Well wha about the people that live on the road and don’t care about snowmobiling
, don’t like loud pipes waking them up late a night and demand he pads are cleared as good as other roads?
Yep, some people are just jerks, they actually think snowplow drivers should plow the road in favor of the taxpayers who pay for those services. Man! The nerve of them!

I surely get all of that goofy. And I'm in clear agreement with you. Seems I was relating to that no body cares of others, perhaps as blind eye? I also very well know of the risk the drivers face. Yeah, I very well get it, and sadly so it is. Fact is we years ago used to have the exact same issue down here. However, that problem left when the winter snows left. o_O

Well I don't know about 30 something inches but I will say there are quite a few models in agreement that we should 6-10 inches by next weekend. That would be enough to get things going in a lot more areas. I ran 3 different models and they are all showing the same thing. We will see if it pans out but some of the better model runs that I have seen in a while. Here's to hoping.

I hate to say it...but if it doesn't turn around soon, it might be another year we stay closed...we are running out of time...we need measurable snow NOW!!!...and like garage guy said...I don't know what to believe in the extended forecasts...the forecasts are all over the place....some saying lots of snow the next few weeks...others saying dry, and average to a little below average temp wise.

Greg Soulje has increased moisture and lower temps coming in February for the upper midwest. That's us, and hopefully it happens. As attakman says time is running out everyday that passes.
