2” of light snow overnight and still snowing, take anything we can get. Not the sweetest trails but they are rideable, ride safe and support the local businesses!

Supposed to get an inch or two of snow up there today/tonight… honestly wish we kept our reservations for Boulder junction this weekend, I feel like an inch or two of fresh on top of a very smooth hard base with less traffic would be great riding. Going to lake gogebic instead, plenty more snow especially to the north but trail conditions will continue to fall apart mid day due to the traffic.
Indy agree with you on the traffic up in the yoop. Most snowmbilers believe the more snow the better and they definitely got more snow. Looks like a winter wonderland up there. Seems like more times than not it's better to get enough to set a good smooth solid base then keep getting small snows to give groomers a little fresh to work with. Trails just seem to hold up better and you don't get the big rollers. Vilas county groomers have proven time and time again they can do a lot with a little. Hopefully this weekend will be a little less crowded with last weekend being a holiday weekend. Have fun and stay safe up there.

Snowed lightly all day, about 3.5” of light snow now since Tuesday here in Manitowish Waters. Trails look ok, ride them while you can!

Curious Clark if you are seeing something I am not. I know they were talking about a warm up mid week next week but from what I am seeing looks like they have really lowered the temps today for next week compared to yesterday.

Seeing the same thing Hermie. These apps throw out some high temps one day and then pull them back the next day. I see Monday next week as having a 30 degree temperature but no higher. Then temps in the mid 20’s are the norm.

Arrived yesterday to a little snow falling. Trails from road looked more white than brown in Phelps.
5 inch of snow on drive since Jan 14 last plow.

We were in Manitowish Waters today and were going to stop for a sandwich to support the local businesses. The only place open was Pea Patch, every other place was closed. We lost Ye Olde Shelleigle to a fire but really, only one place open? Same in Boulder Junction, only Rev’s (headwaters) was open in town. I didn’t go up to see if Goochs was open but I think they were. I know people leave on Sunday to go home but there were a bunch of sleds out today. I guess it’s tough on both sides of the bar these days.

Went to pine cone for breakfast this morning and then back home then PI Pub via Michigan today. For what it’s worth from Bent’s to Lando was pretty darn good.

Jim, do you just ride the roads and fire roads down Presque Isle? That’s how we used to do it when we stayed up on Cisco lake. That’s had to be 40 years ago, geez, I’m 68 but don’t feel that old!

Yes and no, trail one from Marenisco to PI was in pretty good shape considering. They groomed last night. But I will use forest roads at times.

I will 2nd you goofy on land o being pretty good. Now Boulder that's another story. St.germain has less snow then Boulder but is in better shape than Boulder. Vilas is going to need snow soon if people want to keep riding there. Thursday is not going to help if it gets as warm as they are guessing. Temps seem to change every 6 hours.

We rode from Lando to Bents across the Cisco Chain to Roger’s Bar back to Lando on Saturday .

Trails were a little Bumpy , but plenty of snow.
