Might as well stay there, it is likely cleaner than any other motel after the deep clean etc.
I like to know what other places in that area offer basically $30 per man per night for a decent room, on trail, bars with bands on weekends, cheap drinks, restaurant, hot tub, pool and gas station outside the door that also offers the opportunity to win enough to pay for the trip (most times)! Covers all my needs except for the ability to tuck a buck! lol
Houghton used to be $60 a night 2-3+ years ago... NOW, if you are LUCKY enough to even find an available hotel in Houghton anymore without booking a month in advance, all the 2 star hotels are $90+... I guess I can't complain, gas is 1/3 of what it used to be.I like to know what other places in that area offer basically $30 per man per night for a decent room, on trail, bars with bands on weekends, cheap drinks, restaurant, hot tub, pool and gas station outside the door that also offers the opportunity to win enough to pay for the trip (most times)! I am willing to bet their "deep clean" only had to due to with the water system that was affected and nothing else. I have stayed there in the past and have felt the place is run down. Profits going into the pockets of the indians versus back into the business would be my guess. Doubt this event will change their process. My $0.02 fwiw.
