Yes I've switched holes lol... ok. Im anxious to try the new yami suspension and see what's new for 2017, but, have you guys seen the rebates and deals that started friday or so??? $3500 off msrp or better!!!! Now do I get a Renegade 900 with a quiet smooth fuel efficient 900 or a renegade 1200 with 40 more hp, not as fuel efficient but I can keep up with buds when trails straighten out???? I'm driving myself even more insane!!!

Buy what sled is best for you the deal will come together lots of close out sleds with 17s around the corner. Throw a leg over the sled you want to buy don't buy without a test ride.

I don't think he would be happy with a Vector, or Apex, as he is coming from "rider forward" sleds.

X2! The Vector is bordering on being an old fashioned sit down sled. The Doo and YamaCat seating positions are much more upright and forward. I have long arms and when I'm maxxed out in turns my arms aren't even long enough on my Vector.

Thanks for the insight guys!!! I've calmed down from seeing the deals on sleds. Great idea to test drive exact sled before I buy. I think my strategy now is test drive as many sleds as I can and wait till the 2017's are announced. Maybe the manufacturers will even have some 2017 prototypes we can test drive toward the end of season. Being a 4 stroke, whatever sled I buy will be around a long time so I better love it!!

Good plan & same way I would approach a new sled purchase.

Have you guys heard of any factory demo rides? I really like those where they bring a bunch if sleds and you can test drive a few different models. Plus ski doo gave out a $300 coupon if you bought a ski doo after the demo ride and I was able to use it and saved an extra $300...
All of the manufacturers did this and it was great. I'm not brand loyal and I want to try everything!!

I know Yamaha and Polaris have done it in the past. Don't recall Doo ever dooing it but maybe they did. Will any of them doo it this year? No idea. Wait until after each OEM announces it's 2017 lineup...they would announce it after that. Problem is....can they set the sled up so a 6-3 240 lb guy get's the best feel of what he's driving? Doubtful is my answer.

What you should doo is go RENT different sleds of your choice for a day. That way, once you pull away from the rental place you can adjust to your hearts content. A guy that I know did this and it wiped out a sled he was seriously thinking about.

Go to Pat's call Kip 1st tell him you are coming & want to demo sleds. Kip always has new Yamaha Apex or Vector good to go for demos. Last time we bought we demoed everything we wanted in used lineup and new Vector. Bud ended up buying used cherry Apex SE but new Vector was sweet. Kip should have used Vipers good to go too not sure what he does with Polaris ...2s no good for me. Bud & I go 225 & were able to get comfy on demos without changing anything. We knew what we could do with skid adjustments so no problem but none of the demos were bottoming so reasonable comfort. For me Viper was short on HP but handled ok probably would be great with a turbo! I can tell in 10-15 miles what I think about a sled & like to switch back & forth in those miles for direct seat of pants comparo so have bud on alternate demo. I had one bud leave me in the dust while I was turning back to Pats on ill handing sled I knew bud liked the demo he was riding & was in Kips office making the deal by the time I got demo back to Pat's & parked demo where Kip wanted it in line up.lol. Kip took buds sled in trade on the spot & we left with buds new ride with new accessories installed on the spot. Hard to beat service like that when someone is hot to trot.

Agree with Pat's - service is great. I was in there for some work one time and just sitting around. He asked if I wanted to demo anything and I beleive I saddled up on 3 or 4 sleds before I was done.

Doo does demo rides have to talk to rep to see when and where. Also a dealer or skidoo is sponsoring the dootalk Wisconsin ride out of mercer this year in feb and they are doing demos on new sleds. Just an FYI. Most dealers will let you take a sled for a ride as well

I'd love to groomerdriver, but I have a club ride up in Orr mn... I'm nervous snow will be marginal... my brother's riding up with me.. I may get him liquored up with beers and nyquil and when he wakes up he'll magically be in the U P..... I'll just tell him Hurley is Norwegian for Orr!!!! Also, new dilemna... I accidently stopped at ski doo dealer tonight.. crazy discounts AND zero% financing... now.. Renegade 1200? Or Blizzard 1200... I rode a buds 2011 120" Trac mxz 1200 and it seemed nose heavy and a tic hard to steer.. my 137" track gsx se 1200 feels more balanced. I'm wondering if the Blizzard129" Trac and new skis makes it feel more balanced. Anyone have a 2016 Blizzard 1200?? And yes I am driving myself insane...

Ski Doo in the past has had demo rides in the Munising area early march. Call "hunt n fish" ski doo dealer as they would know. Timberland sports in Bergland also.

Sounds good. Went on a saddlebag trip last season Berglund around to Big Bay Marquette munising iron river for the fist time. Munising was a great area, demo ride would be a great excuse to get back in the area!!

Try not to get blinded by the"Deal",17s around the corner & non current deals will get even fatter this year. No dealer going to tell what is coming ..dont want to know right now.lol. Test ride a bunch now see what happens in 17 line up.

Again, great idea... I'm going on a club trip thurs to Orr mn, told sales guy I don't need a sled, but I'm not doing anything till after the ride, and I was thinking wait till the 2017's are announced. I have to keep telling myself I don't need a new sled lol!!!! On the other hand $3000-$3500 discount AND 0% financing... I'm gonna play the waiting game. Sounds like a ton of inventory. Can't wait to see deals end of Feb or end of march!!

Dont expect a new 1200. First year in XS chassis. Engines that are ready to rock or being tested is gen2 800etec and 600etec and a turbo 900 ace and supercharged 900ace. If your looking for a deal a 2016 will be as good as it gets from doo

HP please of 900 ACE turbo?? & 900 ACE Supercharger?? Super weird to have both Supercharged & Turbo 900ACE as SC will be a bit less HP than Turbo. What is purpose of that? One or the other in my mind.

Production turbo and/or supercharged 900 from Doo?

Sure would be interesting to see.

I like it but seems to me to be a huge market overlap ...no idea why both? No idea what the hp boost would be but would not be 130 since niche for 1200. Putting more pressure on the 600etec doesn't make sense either. Or is doo finally saying move over 2s.... 4s is the growing market & we are going to slam a vareity of 120ish 4s in that broad market niche? I'm a 140-160 HP 4s consumer so doubt it will light my fire but I'm always looking at new 4s sleds.
