brand new, out of the box that I have owned

'98 XC 700 Screaming, pulling, sled, by the time I had 3 miles on it I had already had it up to 110(on the speedo) twice on the hard packed road, that motor
was bullet proof, and at that point it was the best riding sled I'd had.
Another part of what made it so fun was both the guys I rode with at the time bought one too, so the THREE AMIGO'S headed to tear it U.P.!! (I was younger then)

p.s. I like my 2015 Switch Assault 600

94 EXT with efi. first new machine which might have something to do with it. was a blast to ride, started right up (as long as the battery was good and fully charged or else it wouldn't run at all), and always seemed like it was built just for me, which being a spring order, I guess it was. have liked all machines I have had since then, but not like that one.

That sled was the best of both worlds, handled flat in the corners like an old sit down sled and could bang out the bumps like a modern rider forward sled. I really wish I hadnt sold that sled.

2000 Arctic Cat ZRT 600. That sled would rock. Had it over 100 several times. Rode it all over the UP and Canada. Never had a problem with it. Bought the wife the same sled the same year. Both we're great running no problem sleds.

Getting to know my 2016 ZR 6000 got it in January. Not many miles this past winter.

I had a 98 XC600 and it was the funnest sled I ever had. Just gobs of low end on it. Don't know if I could ride that style any more but it was an awesome sled for its time.

I'd have to say each one has been my favorite starting many years ago when Dad brought home our first family snowmobile. The old Panther would top out at about 35 mph across those Wisconsin farm fields. What a thrill! My Olympic was a lot of fun in high school, guys and me would ride'm to school when the weather permitted. The 96 Indy brought me back to snowmobiling after years of being away. And my last two Ski Doo's have been leaders in technology for their respective model years. Yup, every one has been special and wish I still had them all.

wow another 2004 with 20,000+...mine has 20,000 miles with no motor work yet...still riding it as well, that's 2 now with 20,000 and about 5 I know with 10,000...love it so much I am doing an off frame resto this summer on it....(gonna bring it out some day and it will be like brining out a 1967 GTO today)....i'll tell the yung'ins....ya.....this baby burns oil....and they'll go wow....oil...and it will sound like no other as all other sleds will be silent by then....LOL.... but my favorite of all time is a hard decision between a 1999 ZL 600 EFI LE VIPER BLUE....or a 2004 F 700 EFI LE FIGHTER PILOT SILVER...both incredible machines and bullet proof....I mean all sleds were fun, even a 1973 SCORPION LIL' WHIP 340 I had was a blast but I think it comes down to how many miles...the more miles the more you go through with that sled and then that sled becomes the fav since it gets you outta more situations than the others have

I will have to say my 99 sx 700. That sled had a sweet sound and handled like it was on rails. Still can't beat the sound of a triple.

I can't decide so I will list three that are of different eras.

1973 Viking 440 Vigilante SS, the first sled that I put serious miles oon. It had a 440 Kohler leaf blower, a wide ski stance, factory studs in the track, and a para rail suspension. I rode it about 2500 miles a year for a couple of years. It was my sled when I worked as a guide in 72, 73, and 74.

1980 Polaris Centurion, my first liquid cooled sled and also my first triple. 32 inch ski stance with leaf springs, a rubber track with 24 studs right down the center, and about 5 or 6 inches of travel in the rear. It was the first sled that I took on backpack trips and it was fast, the first sled that I had over 100 mph (on the speedo anyway ). It's fun factor was great.

2012 Polaris 800 Switchback Assault, I can ride it on rivers and lakes, across fields and forest roads, and it is also very good on groomed trails, I have had many 300 mile days and feel great after a long day of riding. I am sure that I will be able to add to this list in the coming years.

1969 Polaris Mustang.

Cuz that was the sled I "grew up on",...
sitting there in front of my dad, banging my head on the
handle bars that had foam duct taped to them to "soften the blow"
Memories one can Never replace,....
First sled Dad says "Your Turn To Drive!"
Ahhhh,....

and of course my current sled,...
1200 4-Stroke Renegade.
Quiet,...Smooth,...Torque to knock your head off,..
Long way from the '69.

Long live Snowmobiling!

Favorite and most fun are 2 different things IMO. My favorite sled has to be a toss-up between my 99 indy 500 and my 05 xc sp 500. Both those sleds I pounded 12k miles combined, and hardly "had" to do a thing. I think I changed 1 belt. Most fun by far my current sled - 16 Pro RMK 800 le 155"x2.6"
