Ok, I'll give you that. I'd agree that a late 90's Yamaha probably rides and feels like a 10-15 year old sled.
My POS 89 Phazer couldn't handle the bumps like my 06 Fusion either.
I could make a giant list why I dislike yamaha but you guys would just think I'm more and more brand blind. I used to bash Cat so bad and I feel terrible about it. They are built well to how I like my sleds, and are great at innovating new ideas (yes mark your calendar). They don't have many "bad sleds" that they made either. Other than diamond drive, I can't think of too many design flaws I can think of with Cat. They don't have tinfoil tunnels, plastic A-arms, or flying saucer clutches. The procross chassis is really above and beyond, just wonder what they will do when Polaris patent expires on the pro-rate suspension. I'm sure we'll see some whacky stuff come out then. In the meantime I'm going to sit back and watch the SRT vs. Yamaha show
I understand that alot of the riders on here prefer longer tracked sleds. However I am not one of them. There is not a 136" or longer skid on the market that can handle on rails like a 121" I am not a off trail rider and never will be. Its just not my thing. But I guess if they do away with the 121" I will have to adapt. I have a 2010 136" Polaris in the stables now, but its strictly a back-up sled and will probably sell it and get another 121".
This thread has gotten pretty entertaining while I've been working on my truck all day LOL!
We should turn this thread into a brand bashing truck thread! What kind of truck do you have
We have been there and done that. Besides at this point in our lives we should be above that. (Bashing).
wow indy that Jag made you come to the cat side?
No but just figured that since everybody's being called out for being "brand loyal" I thought I'd admit that Cat ain't that bad LOL.
That's why I added the post about my Rupp's. Thought it would sidetrack the issue a little. (didn't help for long)
I don't even think there was a lot of brand bashing on this thread. It was actually more bashing about others saying others were bashing than brand bashing itself. A lot of moaning in general. I guess that I'm even adding to it by posting this! haha!
I have a 2010 600 IQ 121" that I'd like to trade for a 136." Was I chatting with you last year about that...?
No it wasnt me. Im not sure what sled I want next. It most likely be a new chassis cat or a rush. That is if the 128" track sled corners very good.
The trails in N WI and the U.P. arent a sno-x track though. Those sleds dont even have sway bars. They arent even close at railing around a corner. They are strictly point and shoot sleds. Im not trying to stir the pot more, but your comparison isnt even in the ballpark. Either that or your just trying to bait me more......
