here's your PM

how old are you i just curious???any time you like to take a run with me I be happy to show ya how a m8 153 will smoke past you on any trail on any day.......sorry bud i ride with snocross guys and you have no clue what your talking about........how do you think a race sled is point and shoot....you definitly are that guy who thinks no one can keep up with.......you just ride with slow people is my guess

WOW! I thought PMs were just that private messages. Keep those off the board guys & respect they are PMs not for public posting.

Back to the topic anybody know how many more inches of track is on the ground 121 vs 128? 128 vs136?

Now I'm all confused!!! What's gonna handle better when mowing around the trees? Should I long track my John Deere 420 rider or throw a shorty on it? arrgghhh.......... too much pressure! ;o)

What is more important to me is that when using the private messaging system of this board, that you continue to use the rules that I have setup for the board. Someone breaking those rules while using the PM feature of this board could be removed just the same as if they posted something that broke the rules.

A private message does not mean anything goes.

Guessing:

121-128, maybe 1 more lug, 3"

121-136, 2 maybe 3 more lugs, 7"

Difficult to think 1 more lug, 3" is going to hurt corner handling in tight twisty trails. To me the added length would help hook up in the apex of the turn to power out & thru. I'm not a twisty trail racer but go faster than the average rider in most conditions & like the proven comfort 128 & longer gives you on the trail. :)

Doospunk,
I wide tracked my 42'' with a 48'' side arm behind it. Cuts down on the mowing time and keeps people from trying to pass me on the inside corners of the yard to get to the fridge before me!!! Either that or a zero turn:)

Plain and simple-Ride what u like, I'll ride what I like. It would appear this years lineup is less 121ish.

I need to polish my tunnel now. (144'')

They are strictly point and shoot sleds.

In a way you are right. Every corner on a snocross track is banked up. They are some of the most tippiest sleds out there also. But they still corner fairly well, you can't lose time going "slow" around a corner.

These guys just don't understand how much fun longtracks are. Here is my Yamaha Bravo - Lowmark Edition.

The manufacturers build what people will buy. People are buying the longer tracks. Last year I had made the comment that more than half the newer sleds I saw on the trail were longer tracks, 136 or longer, and I got grief. As if I couldn't tell the difference. So goes your proof.

My current sled is a 121, and now I usually have the only 121 in our group when we ride, my next one will be a 144

If you ride off trail at all it should be extinct. I have an assault 144 with tipped up rails. un believable ride. I came from a 121 track and got tired of getting stuck all the time. I think the only way to go is crossover.

The trails in N WI and the U.P. arent a sno-x track though. Those sleds dont even have sway bars. They arent even close at railing around a corner. They are strictly point and shoot sleds. Im not trying to stir the pot more, but your comparison isnt even in the ballpark. Either that or your just trying to bait me more......

at some point you will take off your training wheels "sway bar"and then you will realise what your sled is actually capable of.
after you pull your training wheels and actually drive your sled instead of just ride you will smoke all your buds in the twisters
BTW you could not even think of keeping up with a sno x sled in the twistys/stutters/ditches/ they are built for it no real diff between a sno x sled and a x country except ecu program and gas tank and no throttle block for 16 and under.
trust me once you pull your sway bar get over the short learning curve you will never look back
