There was still people riding grand Marais and Seney area yesterday surprisingly. With the incoming snow I think that area will be ok.

I hear ya. Sure do miss his insight. This graphic is from Midwest weather on Facebook. I am slightly concerned, that the GFS and Euro models aren’t picking up much yet, whereas the 2 large LES events earlier this month did.

This is all lake effect. Most weather stations or apps refuse to forecast it until a day or so before it starts. Keep in mind this is accumulative across a 5 day span.

I would stay in Grand Marais. Little extra drive, but one of the only towns in EUP that have multiple bars/restaurants (including breakfast) to choose from, nice gas station, etc.

That’s the glovebox extension with heated cellphone holder. I keep my phone plugged in and use the Polaris app for trail maps. I then bring my old phone along to take pictures. Great setup! But pricey

Did 80 miles this morning on some of the most ridiculously smooth trails I’ve ever ridden in my life! We even ran trail 8 between 888 and 89 3 times because it was so darn fun! Sad we have to leave.

Pulled into the Voyaguers Motel in Grand Marais around 3pmE and hopped on the sleds around 4. Took the scenic route down to Andys Seney Bar for some fish, and back. Was a quick and excellent 97 miles! Trail 43 on Seneys system was easily a 10/10, that trail was an absolute blast and was 20 miles...
