    Sunday 3-15

Agree. It's been nuts. Couldn't even see while snowblowing the sidewalk this morning. We take care of our elderly neighbor's place as well, which is on a corner. Couldn't hardly move some of the snow even with their big Ariens snowblower. Of course, it started to act up and is now spitting...

Next few weeks of the season...

Oh, I did have the motorcycle out on Monday. Probably the earliest I was ever able to do so. Don't believe I've ever had the bike and the sled out in the same week. Maybe another first coming up?

Next few weeks of the season...

Yeah, thought I was in the wrong place. Lol. But can't imagine the challenge of having to shovel out every day for a month or more on end. Guessing it may get old. Seems there was somewhat of a snow line, however and our area struggled to have enough snow again this year. So, I'll complain...

    Shawano County

As expected all zones are closed. Weather for the week looks terrible. Doubt there's any chance of a reopen this season. At least we got a few rides in. Still missing the opportunities we had about 3 years ago. Sooner or later we're due for a good season in Shawano Co again. Here's to hoping.

    Shawano County

Zone one and some section of the Wiouwash and Mountain Bay are open again. They had received probably 3 inches or so last week. Today so far according to a trail camera, there has been another inch and still snowing. Calling for up to 2. Anything is better than nothing. 40s on Friday sucks...

    2-20

1/2" slush in the Fox cities, but just started snowing big flakes again. Looks like about an inch or so by the cabin (Shawano Co) according to a trail camera. Still snowing there now too apparently.

    Shawano County

Shawano County trails will be closing for the weekend according to the hotline (website not updated yet.) Probably a smart choice to try and preserve things. From a selfish standpoint, it sucks, as I was finally going to able to ride out from the cabin this coming weekend. They remain open...

    Half time show

I noticed the lip syncing too on Kid's first song, but it didn't seem like Til You Can't was. Didn't look like the other performers in the TP USA one were lip syncing either. Quite a variety with genres for the music. And tribute to Charlie Kirk was nice (again regardless of what side of the...

    This Weekend's DNR Patrols

"Don't get me wrong, I'm not a teetotaler, but save the drinkin' for cabin time. I see these guys with brand new sleds driving from bar to bar, sometimes spending hours at a time at one stop. It makes no sense to spend all that money on a new sled and all those hours trailering just to waste it...

    Half time show

Regardless of what side of the aisle you're on and politics aside, it was not great. I'm not even sure what it was? I also saw the TP USA alternative. At least there were a couple of options for halftime entertainment. The NFL is fumbling with a lot of things. Just add the halftime show to...

    2/6/26

Was surprised to see the weather person was off the right way this time. Woke up to about 2.5 or so in the fox cities. Shawano appears to have gotten between 1.5-2. Fingers crossed next week keeps things cold enough and more snow to add. Weekend off of riding for a radar run this weekend.

    02/05/26

Dang, that's a good problem to have. Need a couple more inches to be able to leave right from the cabin by us. So, close. Hoping there isn't a meltdown, as I see temps are on the rise for next week. At least I've only had to trailer a little ways, but sure would be nice to go right out the door.

    02/05/26

I guess no one got anything significant for snow since there hasn't been any other reports? Maybe a little over a half inch in the fox cities area it appears. Still some flakes in the air though. Supposedly a little overnight again too. Any little bit helps.

Marathon WI Snowmobile Trail Conditions Report

Spent Saturday touching the East/Northeast border again and venturing further East/Southeast than last time. Shawano had opened up a few more areas than the last time. Snow was a little thin the further south/southeast, but doable w/out damaging equipment. Temp light never came on, but one...

    Bud's New Superbowl Commercial

People I know refer to regular Bud as Diesel. They also refer to Busch Light as Busch Latte and that's their beer of choice. Not a fan of either and that company sure made of mess of things awhile back. Kid Rock was shooting cases of beer, but apparently walked back his stance by continuing...

MISSOURI TOURIST OUT ON THE TRAIL

My Mission CKX also has the "pop." I didn't realize I wasn't closing it all the way the first few times I used it. The first time I heard that pop, I actually thought it broke. Seems weird, but that's what it does and I then know it's completely closed. Only issue I've had w/the helmet...

Brand new take off Ski loops and carbides from 2019 Arctic Cat RR

Ski loops are still available. (carbides are sold.)

Marathon WI Snowmobile Trail Conditions Report

Last weekend I was over by Eland and north. I don't have scratchers on my current sled (have on past ones.) Can't speak as to this moment, but didn't have any need for them last weekend.

Ice removal off sled trailer roof

I use a roof rake periodically and a few times during the season I will go to a car wash that has a bay big enough to drive right in/through. I have an inline and will keep it sitting at a raised angle when parked (in theory allowing precipitation to run off, which is probably better in theory...

Marathon WI Snowmobile Trail Conditions Report

Don't be fooled like I was and think anything below Hwy 64 isn't worth it. There's good riding to be had. Depending on what part of Marathon Co, you may want to think East. Obviously, it's not going to be as good as true Northwoods, but you don't have to trailer as far as one would think.
