You need to answer this .......

How many problems did you hear about the 2010 800 Polaris motor ...... problems were with the 2009 and earlier 800's.

One recent flash has been developed, it will be in 2011 800's, after this flash was nailed down the Rush 800 Pro R hit 114 mph all testing was done in Canada.

I'm excited to see if Poos 800 holds up well, I'll hang on to my 600 HO until the 800s proven. I gotta believe Polaris addressed their issue, hence the ballsy 4 yr warranty. I'd like to believe the Etec 8 is gonna be awesome, and we already know the 800 Suzook rocks! Competition breeds innovation! (unfortunately it costs us more LOL)

As I understand it you are back to 2 injectors on 2011 Poo 800. Is this good? Seems like a dead end to me. Sure won't be the Poo 800 engine used to meet 2012 EPA Requirements next year. There has to be another 800 engine in the Poo pipe line for next year. So don't hold your breath on any Poo 2s at this point all has to change next year to meet EPA Emission Requirements. Only Poo 4s meet 2012 EPA Requirements. Ski-doo Ace, 4tek & etek engines & all Yamaha 4s engines meet 2012 EPA Emisson requirements. Seems common sense to me to only consider compliant engines as the rest will be discontinued in 2012. Why get stuck with a discountinued tech????

I asked an engineer at Polaris that is involved in the design the new 800 this exact same question, he said the 2 injector is 2012 compliant.

readin in my new snowgoer mag today that cat will have to drop pretty much all their 2 strokes and start over due to emission crap in 2012. can't wait for them to go thru this whole dilemma like poo did

I will bet the farm they[cat] have been building and testing there 1212 power for some time.they were testing the lay down 7 in 01 possably sooner but I know in 01 . 1 more reason no new big changes this yr why bother

then why did they develop the 800 ho to run it for 2 years?

same block same jugs they used a few parts that some of the speed shops have been using in race motors for a few yrs.like cutting the weight off the crank pipe and so on.not a new motor just a improved motor

with all the testing(one advertisment said 1,000's & 1,000's of miles) that was supposed to have been done on the Rush Pro Ride, why was the rear suspenion completely changed for 2011; different rails, different rear torque arm, different track with a pitch change, added cooler on the rear mid flap ( if it works like the past rear mounted heat exchangers, it should add 30# of of ice build-up in the rear suspension). Somewhat disappointed to have a new sled that the suspension is basically out dated in one year. I guess that is the price you pay for a first year sled.

Both Poo & AC NOT talking about how they will meet 2012 EPA emission requirements. The 2011 Poo 2 injector 800 does NOT meet 2012 EPA emission requirements in 2011 form. Doo & Yamaha engines already meet 2012 EPA emission requirements so no big change for them 2012 just another model year for them. Be an educated well informed buyer in 2011 too close to the 2012 EPA emission requirements deadline to get caught with discontinued engine tech. If a brand dealer does not know how 2012 EPA engine emission requirements will be met then that brand OEM does not know either. Ask all the questions before you buy too expensive not too.
