Then you'd be driving a FUJI engine! Maybe that's not a bad thing.

Probably more about emissions than demand. The 500xcxp wasn't a bad engine at all though.

If my 700 gets some major damage done to it and i found a killer deal on a 500 fuji, i'd slap that thing in there faster than you can say fuji!

I got this off Dootalk

There's been a lot of talk about Cat coming with a DI 2 stroke this spring. Only thing is, supposedly Cat found a way to directly inject fuel AND air at the same time so then it can sit on a 4 stroke style bottom end complete with an oil bathed crank... No more crank bearings or seals to worry about... This could greatly extend the expected service life of 2 stroke sleds past what they were even before the EPA regs... Supertrax had a " hint piece " article about it a while back and there's chatter about it on HCS...Should be interesting this spring....

Not sure if the link still works but here's some "outline" style pics of the new engine you can zoom in on, at least a little...

Something else I just thought of, no need to worry about getting a bad batch of fuel either with the pressurized lubrication system it would be just like a four stroke. If your jets / now injectors I guess, got plugged up from some bad fuel it would just run a little crappy but wouldn't run so hot from being leaned out that it would burn down...

I suppose it would still be a two stroke so it would still fire twice as often and the rings wold still be sliding by the exhaust port but no more intake ports to catch / snag a ring..

Also not in 2012, but anyone think Polaris will drop the Rush soon (2013)? (only saw one between Minocqua and Copper Harbor this past weekend). The Rush suspension never worked when tested on race sleds years ago either...

I was in the UP from the 8th-15th and I saw quite a few Rush's, probably more of them than any other new sled. I did see alot of Yamaha's too, but not necessarily 2011's.

You're the first I've heard say the rear suspension doesn't work. Everything I have read on it says it works great. I test rode one and was very impressed!

Lots of things that don't work on race sleds work very well for trail riders, oil injection, power steering, plush soft suspensions, and smooth constant power throughout the powerband.

Most I've read or heard say the rush rear suspension works well, better for some, but good none the less. I don't think poo will be moving away from it, I think if anything they'll be refining it and making it better. under seat or in track suspensions are about as nice now as they'll ever be. The poo rush rear will only get better with time, I can't wait to see it in 2021 should be really nice with I'm hoping about 21" of travel and no difference in ride height.

Non float skids are better for the trail. Looks like a whole new style skid too. The front a arms on the right sled are really funky with the wierd shock angle.

Handlebar mitts are now standard equipment on all sleds.;)

Pure speculation so dont get all revved up!!! Something to think about...

Not for 2012, but how about Arctic Cat adding more Yamaha engines to their line-up? (Z120 has a Yamaha built engine). At the end of the day it is all about making money. Yamaha has been selling emissions credits to Cat for years...

Rush stays for all Poo 2s to bang heads with Doo for bumps sleds. AC no idea what will turn up in DI2s. Not sure Poo Rush platform is for 4 strokers & Poo trying to get blue hairs to test ride. I felt Rush pulled me too far forward & not fond of banging my knees on panels. Poo needs more relaxed platform for 4 strokers but could be a pregnant variation of Pro Ride. No Rush not leaving soon Poo stays with platforms longer than other OEMS.

Those are not very pretty sleds at first look. I don't like the windshield area at all. Like anything, we need to give it time and see them with colors and graphics, but what I see I don't like.

cant judge on that pic they have covers on them semi fitting covers but still a cover blocking the overall look and when they were testing the 03 f7 they were running a f chasi with a modded zr belly pan and hood.I am a bit concernd with the style also dose not look like it will have the huge sweet spot for laying it on its side like the current M more like the poo just not allot of body work to support sled in the pow

Something looks different.:)

Sort of resembles a xp, cat needs to push the envelope better than that. XP will be 5 tears old in MY12. I would expect skidoo to have a new model in 2013, further seperating themselves from the pack. Lets hope the new cat is light, the f-series tarnished cats rep as a mogul basher.
