Sneak Peak at the Doo upgrade to the XP. While it is new to the Doo's it is not really all that new in the snowmobile world.

You will get the equivalent of a TSL that Cat and Poo have had for a long time, and some overly priced shocks that will give adjust ability that will likely not be used other than a set it and forget it. Then the Maintenance nightmare will begin.

Owning late 90's and early 2000 Cats with all the clickers and front arm adjusters on the CC editions, I can tell you that shock hose failures are a great way to ruin a sled trip. I am glad that I have standard rebuild-able shocks again.

Oh and mounting an adjuster on the running board like that is another brilliant feature. What are they thinking?

I had all the goodies on my ZR600 external adjustable ski shocks (clickers was the slang term) Front arm of the rear skid adjuster and a Clicker on the rear. I can tell you that they are a maintenance nightmare. Broken hoses at least every other year if not every year caused by ice build up. I had that machine for 7 seasons, and for the first 4 years I was rebuilding the shocks at least twice a year because of these failures. I finally figured out how to make the hoses last. Heat shrink over the top of the hoses, It was the only way to help prevent ice build up on them. I for one am glad that I have just standard rebuildable shocks now.

Ski Doo R-Motion rear skid. Rising rate design, no tools to adjust, optional remote compression and preload adjusters with almost 2 inches more travel at the front arm... Will be availabe on the MXZ X and XRS for 2012!!! Truly Progressive and very rising rate!!!

Can't wait to take one for a spin!!!

My dealer told me today that the ride is next Thursday but only 4 spots left. They invited me along as they are going, but I will be out of town so don't think I'll make it.

I am waiting to see what Cat comes out with, I have riden Cats for twenty years if they don't get in the mileage business I am going with Ski Doo for my new sled.

X'2 part of the reason I went doo this year, love my mxz, great on the twisty pine trails where I live. I did not do a cat for the same reason. Within a model or two I have to believe poo and cat will be back in the running. Still love the old poo! I will have to admit after almost 3/4's of a season under my belt all the other sleds feel like anchors when I climb aboard.

what running? cat has never tried to be in the MPG game for at least the 20yrs you have been running cats they have always tried to be in the speed business first and handling 2nd.just look over your mag ads for the last 20 yrs to look at there marketing plan.and for the most part the game they have been running in they have more yrs than not been the winner.the only mpg sled they brought to the table first was the 660 Yellowstone 1st modern 4 stroke bought 1 for my wife sold same yr and that was not built for mileage but to keep Yellowstone open
