2021 Polaris

And go!

From my first half hour of looking, looks like they dropped the 800 completely, minimized the 600 sleds (including the pro ride Indy 600), came out with an all new 650 patriot motor which seems like the perfect powerplant for a trail sled, released the all new Matryx chassis Vr1 sleds that include a fancy pants gauge and an even fancier headlight. For the mountain sleds specifically they added a new 2.75” lug track with 3.5” pitch which sounds like the perfect combo and added a longer khaos model along with a geared down quick drive. Lots of things I wanted to see in the mountain segment that didn’t happen. What do you guys think?

I like the 650 can't believe I never heard any rumors about this, will be interested to see the power that puts out I agree that that could be a perfect trail sled, I see the assault maytrx is a 146, I'd like to see the gauge in person that has been my one complaint about the pidd is it's size, I actually like the lineup for 2021

10% more HP! Talked to Kevin from Snow Tech magazine and he said you have to ride that chassis to believe it. He said it's a game changer! That 146 is going to be a killer U.P. sled. Polaris is staying on the gas big in a big way. Very exciting to be a dealer for them! The 650 has the power and then some of a 700 for those wondering. The feel of the Matrix chassis honestly feels like someone has built it just for you and it looks mean as ****. Headlight and handlebar warmers are groundbreaking as well. Many little things that the riders are going to appreciate! Lots of new Lock and Ride goodies to which will transfer over to the AXYS chassis. Polaris fans you have lots to be excited for!!

Polaris just made my decision on which sled to snow check this year really difficult. Never owned a Polaris before, but thinking the 650 is in my future.

I am down to a ZR8000RR and the Launch Edition 650..

Did i read on another forum that the 650 will be safe to run 87 octane?

Lets hope so, Poo updating the computer from a swatch watch so the dealer doesn't have to put a quart of oil in with the first tank of gas is a smart thing to do..

good line up. But still chasing Doo. The Matryx looks like doos old XS. Handle bars are copy of new gen 4. 650 and Doos 600r are about same HP. Less color options. No 4 stroke. No turbo. And still nothing to compare or compete with the Rmotion. And now Poo has hand warmers that actually work?? Plus a charge for E start? The new gauage looks nice. And I like the storage options. But, I was hoping for more innovation, as opposed to copying.

I'm down with the progression of Poo sleds, great to see. I am sure positive progress is occurring.
I don't like the snowmobile business model Poo uses; $250 for E-Start (especially on the 800-850 line), $250 for painted rails, $250 for painted tunnel.. it's ridiculous. I built an 850 and it was $1,150 higher than an XRS.
Paying more up-front and then taking a higher depreciation hit at sale-time, not my vision of value; not to mention gas/oil consumption 25% worse than Doo.

Great Line up...I hope ski doo takes notice of the new lighting set up...it's something I believe they need to address. Polaris is definately targeting ski doo.....I wouldn't say they have nothing to compete with the Rmotion...their new skid works well (it seems to me that they are getting away from the Rush rear, and going to a more conventional skid)...and their front end is awesome. I also really like their spring order track options (the storm 150 is a great track). Polaris doesn't believe they need four strokes...Ski Doo has that market cornered right now. (with proven engines)...it would be tough for them to break into that market. Yamaha is really the only one who can build the 4 strokes to compete with ski doo...but they just haven't, and it remains to be seen if they are going to do that. If they don't release something all new this year...I think Yamaha is going to be in even bigger trouble (folks jumping ship) than they already are. The Doo, and Polaris release hurts cat the most...they have outdated chassis with outdated engines...and only an entry level sled in the blast (at nearly $9,000)...why buy a blast when you can buy the new doo 600 FI sport model sled for the same price, or for a bit more get a 600 ace?

Ski doo, and Polaris are driving the market...Cat and Yamaha are gonna get left in their dust if they don't figure it out soon.

I know you do your research....do Doo's really do that much better on gas/oil than Poos?

If that 650 is what they're saying it is - much better on gas and power and runs on 87, that's a big deal, if you can it priced right. Most places in the northwoods get you on premium so it would be nice to pass on that.

I have had two Doo ETECS and was not really impressed with mileage, it was a bit better unless you were just cruising. Plus with the Polaris I have been paying under $15 for a gallon of oil the last several years. I was scared to run Mystik in the ETECS and felt i had to buy their overpriced oil

Polaris does depreciate much faster though, but have been trying to buy them leftover or low mile used

Do the Poo's snowcheck for MSRP? That's a hard sell at those prices. Starting at $13K for the 650.

What your not mentioning though is that with Polaris you can choose from roughly 8 different hood/side panel colors, 5 tunnel colors, and 5 rail colors. Name another manufacturer that you can customize your sled down to that point and order the exact color of everything you want. Also not noted is it seems most Polaris dealers offer their snowcheck sleds MUCH lower than msrp than what Doo dealers will offer their snowchecks at so comparing msrp list prices isn’t fair.

The new Poo 650 will get its best mpgs, on 91 oct.

Many people running Etecs on Mystik Sea & Snow, or Mystik Full Synthetic 2-Stroke. Very good value deals @ Blains, and Mills farm stores. With the low amount of oil used, we have just stayed with Amsoil Interceptor as our E-valves stay super clean, never have stuck, just wipe clean. It is also available at Blains.

$2975 off MSRP the 2021 Doo I have built thru my dealer. I cant see Poo beating that

I’m a Doo guy and that sounds almost impossible but if it is true good for you. And I’m sure fugifilm will say something about that pricing also. I will also agree with indy500 can’t base anything off msrp. And also Polaris has nailed it when it comes to customize it your way. Ski-Doo gives you black and usually some hideous colors then you have to pay for wraps or that all apart and paint and powder coat.

So what's the difference between the Launch edition and Vr1?? Guess I'm missing something.
